Official Jon Gruden Thread IV

The happy thread of hope has seen better days. Boro has not changed one thing he has said since the MSU game. I don't get why we don't just wait and see what happens.

So him stirring constant rumors is ok but "derailing" isn't?

This is a good board and allowing him to post like he does is not good business. He's acted this way for entriely too long now. If you disagree with what I've said then please ban me.

Not a very smart post....

It's just a formality with the NCAA that is a documentation that the coach is aware of the possible infractions they could be dealing with if caught cheating.

As I understand from the Kiffin hiring this is true. Kiffin and Spurrier sparred over it. Kiffin claimed to have scored higher if I remember correctly.

Going by memory again (could be wrong) it is a basic review test and I believe it is not pass/fail. The NCAA will not stand in the way of any hire that is not a "show cause" type situation. It identifies the areas that the coach may need to become more familiar. It is required that the coach take it before taking over his duties officially.

Not aaying you're right or wrong, but If you don't want to read rumors then you're probably in the wrong forum. If you have an issue with any other posters I would suggest the ignore button. It works wonders, I only wish I could use it. :)

Way too much drama in this thread. Either believe or don't believe, but the witch hunts are annoying to say the least.

I don't understand how people want this thread to be different than others. So you want people to post whatever they want without being called out if people choose? Every other thread is up for debate and dialogue, but this one is different? Is this like the bs only paradise thread or something.

Why is that. Why do you want people to be able to post that they heard Gruden is the coach without others questioning?

IIRC, Spurrier asked if Kiffin had even taken the test before starting to recruit. Kiffin said he only missed one and asked if Spurrier had done that well. I think it is important to get this done first before he can take over so he can immediately start talking to recruits.

Would you ignore me?

i dont have a problem believing what SBV, Boro, and DTO are saying. my HUGE concern is it getting screwed up by Hart, a booster, etc. before it has a chance to happen. thats why it bothers me that Dooley hasnt been fired. i know much goes on behind the scenes, and the buyout blah blah, but im the average fan, so i dont have to be patient or think logically. i want Coach X removed, and Coach Y hired. yesterday.

If you get really board go to NCAA.org and take the practice tests. The real test has exactly the same questions on it.

When a post gets quoted 1000 times the ignore button doesn't do anything imo. Should hide in quote tags too imo. Wrong forum I know, sorry for derailing lol.

That's where I am at. Why wait? What is Hart dragging his feet for? We think we know that Dooley is done. If he is not, it's going to be terrible next year. Why put off the inevitable, therefore putting us in a position to compete with all the other coaching openings out there.
