Meaning, he’s going to let these coaches focus on their current job at hand. If their supervisor says, “let us get through x amount of games because I need my guy to be focused on the job at hand”, you respect that.

With that said, try and use some emotional intellegence and understand that these things take time. I’m not an “insider”, I’m just being rational. Look at all the leaks. Look at all the clues. It’s, obviously, in the works.

As far as false reporting goes. If you were the AD, and you wanted the media to not report any leaks, what would you do? Perhaps, you would talk to said media, that is “in the know”, and strike a bargain with them; that if they keep this under wraps and help misdirect everyone, then in the future, you (the AD) will let them be the first to know the behind the scenes happenings of the University.

Everyone keeps acting like a psycho chick. “Where is he? Why hasn’t he called? I’m going to call him 1000x till he answers!!! Ok that’s it, I’m going to his house right now!!!”

Just be patient, use some emotional intelligence, and everything will be fine.

Gruden ain't happening and never was but there are a lot of gullible people on VolNation.

I don't know about you guys but I'm on this ride until Gruden is our coach or the wheels come off. It ain't over yet!

I don't believe Hyams on this. There's too much smoke coming from other reporters and former players.

I also don't believe Gruden has said no yet. I think yesterday he was given UT's final offer and he needs a few days to think about it.

This is just my opinion but if they matched what Alabama is paying Saban, he will say yes.

1.) We are very hesitant to accept any good news. Good news bearer information is taken with a grain of salt. With that we investigate, push and pry for validity to the point where we push some away and make some hesitant to bring any info to the table. Those who believe though bring a great high to VolNation and some jump on board therefore you see some short fun peaks during the day.

3.) GIF time is good time. The best time I have had in my entire time on VolNation came during the extended GIF period in previous threads. If you need a smile on your face go to the teens and early 20s in the Gruden threads. I about died laughing. Through all of the GIF training sessions I have yet to learn how to post one myself so we may have to schedule another training session here soon.

4.) We have some extremely consistent "insiders" who have been nuts on most of the way. If you have followed closely you know who they are. They have predicted things, stuck to their guns and things have panned out as they told/predicted. The leak on the booster meeting with Gruden on Wednesday from all accounts was spot on and this was leaked by multiple individuals here on Tuesday evening. The negative media that is coming out today was predicted several days ago along with being reiterated by several yesterday. If you prefer to be a logical thinker don't jump on the negative bandwagon just yet. Eventhough JAV has posted it (I personally believe that JAV is a very connected individual) JAV is also getting his info from the AD which if what the other guys are saying is true is going to be spreading the negative news.

With the players and VFL tweets over the last couple of days I believe UT has gotten "their guy". Is that guy Gruden? We will find out SOON....... Have fun til then.

Good stuff. And I agree that Currie has HIS guy...whoever that is...and that the players have an educated idea on the identity (and are hyped).

Agreed. And I want to focus on point 3 in part of this post. I haven't posted my morning cup of coffee thoughts in a while but, in light of the of events in the last 48 hours, I thought I would chime in.
I'm sitting here pondering a scenario where both sides come out of this without alienating an entire fan base and becoming the focus of their anger (this is assuming that they truly care what fans think if them and, imo, they do, to some degree). So...
• Gruden camp says he was never contacted.
This has drug out entirely to long with a "we believe #Grumors" fan base campaign that, if true, would and should have been put to rest immediately after the firing of Butch. Both sides have had ample opportunity.
• AD side says he told us no.
Again, with a fan base going absolutely crazy with their desire to have him here, his self professed love for the Vols, and his family here, his son attending this school (though I believe it would be absurd and horrible for him to be held accountable for his father's actions), would be enough for him to argue that this was not true.
• He states he thought long and hard and just decided that this was not the best move for him and his family.
The fan disappointment and anger for letting it drag on this long and fanning the flames with the two most recent telephone interviews discredit this response and cast a very negative shadow on his reputation.
•The money, control, hiring of assistants, etc... was not there.
This has been stated by reputable sources and accepted as fact, it was not the case this time around.
• I remained quiet in respect for the AD, once they approached me and I declined, to keep the public scrutiny off of their search and give them time to secure one of their other top candidates.
Again, fanning the flames on telephone interviews heard by ALL of Volnation, would only alienate him from the fan base and cast a negative shadow on his reputation. Simply remaining quiet would have sufficed.
All if this being said and IMHO, it takes more faith for me to believe he is not coming than to believe the opposite. Therefore, I remain optimistic that he WILL be our next HC.

Again, just my thoughts as I sit here enjoying my quiet time, my coffee, and my #Grumors.
