Look - I'm not as wrapped up in this as most. But there is some serious s**t going on. If VFL & current players are trolling fanbase & students and think it's funny, what does that tell you about the state of our University in general. Hopefully they're hinting at something more positive and it's not trolling - but if it turns out they are - its highly unprofessional and inexcusable.

I know a lot of these kids and past players take a lot of heat on social media from fans and don't like it. And maybe they think this is their way of getting revenge on that. But - if you are going to live a public life - you have to be able to take that heat - or you just stay off social media altogether. There is nothing gained by them doing this. It just makes our whole University look very, very bad.

Again, hopefully they are not trolling.

Seems like a very non coincidental time for Kahlil McKenzie and Shamburger to tweet that though 👀


Kahlil said the bag of money talks and Shamburger basically said the ones that left will regret it.

The next Coach announcement should not happen until after Vandy Game no matter who it is.

Announce sooner and it would be a nightmare for current staff and players. 18 - 23 year olds just day dreaming with next year attitude.

How Does any coach meet the players and send them out of the locker room to play ball for another coach....

Best publicity is SEC Championship week.

We must remember that Butcher was coaching this team last Friday.

I suspect that several contractual agreements have to be broken and settled. This takes time. The facts are out there, but look at all the new potential coaches and assistants that have to tell current employers that they are outta here.

Truly believe, if it is Gruden, with the staff he has contacted then the date is simple. It will be announced after the Vandy Game.

We can't have an Interim Coach plus Staff and a HC in wait with Staff at the same time. Just doesn't happen that way and there has to be a transition between the two. Some people on the current staff maybe retained by Gruden or whoever the next coach is. Some will not...

The best part of this is that Butch is gone! Currie is on the Hotseat and he will either step up and make the right hire or not... Time will tell.

Any earlier it could turn other programs seasons upside down....plus, ESPN will not just roll over.

Tell a current coach you are fired but your not coming back but by the way we need you to coach the next two games or one game. Yea Right.

To my knowledge, Gruden his not stated "No" and we all know other coaches in the past have stated "No" that have become "Yes"

Blackburn could be the smoking gun but he may have thrown this into a tizzy. I think the first.

Relax maybe the insiders are so ahead of this they don't realize how far ahead they are...

After the Vandy game we will know who our coach is and if it is Jon Gruden then so be it.

Championship Week best time free publicly and is enough time to evaluate talent and get the right surge. It is also the largest set of recruits we have for that weekend....Hell, let them be part of the announcement.

Tuesday night

AtlantaVol broke his couple weeks of silence. His last thing he said to the best of my memory was about the BOT meeting. Went completely silent after that, came back gave out tickets, then said that tomorrow (Wednesday) was a pivotal moment in the hunt of red October. Someone else said something along the lines of... "Everyone temper their expectations we may never know what will have happened tomorrow (which was Wednesday they were referring too) AtlantaVol agreed with this person, and then to the best of my knowledge (I haven't read every single post of all of these threads that would be nearly impossible) that was the last thing he said.

Wednesday

Around lunch time OrangePill came here and said that he had lunch with a BOT member. He mentioned that there would be a meeting in Tampa (again to the best of my knowledge this is the first time we heard about this meeting.) This expanded on what AtlantaVol said and made a little more sense of what he said the previous night. Also around this time I believe Beaver changed his pic to a thread and needle.

Fast forward to Wednesday evening.

Hargis went on PF's show and rocked bottom him and had PF shooked. Jauan Jennings announces that he's coming back for 2018 (could be completely unrelated?) ... a couple of former players start tweeting. Maggitt says it's Gruden "season".

Beaver changes his profile pic (On Twitter) to a tux. Bubba comes on here and says see ya guys in 10 years for the next coaching search. OrangePill tells us he heard it's a done deal. Tuesday started celebrating (I'm not sure if he heard something from Tee or what?) ...after all of that this board went absolutely nuts for a few hours until BCarter came in and threw water on the fire and said that be cautious to some insiders.

Are we now saying that Bubba, Tuesday, OrangePill, etc. we're wrong on Wednesday night?

Plain and simple you can not celebrate or be happy only if terms and pitch presented folks . 30 years closing deals speaking here . I am only saying done and putting on a tux when the check is in the bank period. I am good until Atl and Bubba express a change in status quo.

Currie knew the plan. There is a time and place they will announce. There is a specific reason he said to not listen to anyone but him. He knew the diversions were going to cause angst. He is not sharing information with anyone!

My opinion only

Anyone that is waiting on an announcement from Currie that “we tried but he said no” aren’t going to get it. There will be one announcement when the hire is made, whether it’s JG or whoever, at least that’s what he told us would happen.
