Seemed like we had rumbling of a Thursday announcement and it got shut down when it started to look like UF would announce Kelly on Thursday. I read somewhere that they wanted to wait until SECCG but I thought there was a moratorium on those kinds of things within a bubble of time surrounding the game?

A couple of things I have seen and read said that was the original plan. Let BJ finish out the year, and be finding a coach. That way Currie could fire and hire within like 48hrs. But the Brett Kendrick thing happened and something about players going to Currie complaining about BJ. I think it was Trey Wallace that said that, but I cant Promise. Either way It wasn't going down until after Vandy.

I thought that too. I heard Chip was signed and sealed, but then no announcement, then we hear about Spurrier tossing ice water on that deal and him and the AD kinda having a little bit of a tiff with one another. Might have slowed that deal down, so Tennessee cooled its brakes also to stay in pace with Florida.

If we wait until after Vandy, Thanksgiving may have to be postponed.

What really supports the players complaining to Currie theory is after the Bama game when Currie was on the field verbally and physically supporting the players.

Good morning! :hi: There's something everyone needs to remember. Currie said unless it comes from his mouth treat it as a rumor. Just because media guy A or message board guy B says it doesn't make it true. Nothing is official unless it comes out of Currie's mouth no matter how "in the know" someone's source is.

I heard Chip is slow playing it to see what UCLA does. If I’m wrong I’m wrong. We’ll see

Freak came in yesterday and I agree with sentiment that either “ the bird is in the cage” or paraphrasing that was the most legendary troll job in history. He I believe was leaning as I that he is coming after doing that . I said after it that was a smoke signal to all of us not a smoke screen.

80% of this forum could coach circles around Butch. If you can watch the 2nd half of MSU game sat night and say Mullen is a great coach you are part of the 20% that couldn't out coach Butch.
