I'm not going there yet. I'm confident that UF is hot on Kiffen and they are gonna want to rub that in our face. We have to have Gruden. This will result in the ultimate showdown in the East on a yearly basis. I do not want to, under any circumstance, think or feel that CJG doesn't have that competitive spirit within him. It's in there and it's gotta come out. What better set of circumstances could a true football fan ask for than seeing Gruden vs. Kiffin on a yearly basis. And if I'm wrong about UF and Kiffin and CJG hasn't signed or won't sign with UT then I strongly suggest Currie should get after Lame ASAP.

What the...? Florida and Kiffin? No. Kiffin has a bad habit of not only burning bridges but napalming them and then nuking them. There are no Kiffin to Florida bridges.

Worst case scenario is that JG would take part in being a smokescreen. I can't picture that. I can picture him coming to UT and wanting VFL's on the staff. The latter makes more sense,imho.

I understand that, but he knows what is going on at Tennessee and with the fanbase. He specifically asked the hosts not to ask him about the Tennessee job and then says those things. That's not just us trying to make nothing into something, that's big Jon mfn Gruden involving himself in the coaching search of all coaching searches to ever search this earth.

A UT student calleron the Fox radio station said his mom is on the chancellor committee. Davenport said the offer was made and she was confidentsaid there would be an announcement Thursday or Friday.
