My issue with it is obviously the entire country knows the fanbase wants Gruden, now we have received information all over the place on whether he accepted or not. The thing that doesn't make any sense is why Gruden would just play around with us on national media like that and not take the job. I can completely understand him just saying no, but don't be on national radio talking about Knoxville and Rocky Top. I know people have said Gruden likes the attention, but I really do not think he would use this and poke the fire by saying things like he did today and then reject the job. He's clearly now involved himself.
Also, as far as the Tennessee side goes, you have to be careful to not let the fanbase get so hooked on Gruden that if you hire another guy we all end up disappointed. And I also think that the longer we are all focused on Gruden it will just turn off other potentially interested coaches. So something needs to happen soon.
