I’ve missed the boat on this, care to enlighten me on what Davenport said? TIA

It was all speculation. Some random person called into a radio station saying there was a meeting tonight and Chancellor Davenport approved the deal or something along those lines. But it was not credible at all.

If money is not an issue as several have said what's the hold up. Who cares how much we spend every top tier program will have to match in order to keep up. Every top level coach will want a raise. We cannot gamble on the next hire, gruden is an immediate swag move will bring in the recruits, especially if some VFLs are on staff.

I’m glad people are not excited over Mullen, he’s barely better than Butch. He lost to South Alabama and has never won the big games!

Leave the food and drink sh#t in the pub. The Gruden thread aint no place.

Say whatvya want but while the food discussions was being held we had no negative Nancy’s tryin to derail the faith and hope with negative troll posts. When the food discussions died down now look what’s happening........ everybody is ready to jump off the bridge questioning everything they know is rite.

My issue with it is obviously the entire country knows the fanbase wants Gruden, now we have received information all over the place on whether he accepted or not. The thing that doesn't make any sense is why Gruden would just play around with us on national media like that and not take the job. I can completely understand him just saying no, but don't be on national radio talking about Knoxville and Rocky Top. I know people have said Gruden likes the attention, but I really do not think he would use this and poke the fire by saying things like he did today and then reject the job. He's clearly now involved himself.

Also, as far as the Tennessee side goes, you have to be careful to not let the fanbase get so hooked on Gruden that if you hire another guy we all end up disappointed. And I also think that the longer we are all focused on Gruden it will just turn off other potentially interested coaches. So something needs to happen soon.

Because, only us wanting him, believe that's a sign. When in reality, it had nothing to do with him coming here. Got to take your Gruden shades off

He’s the hold up. If he doesn’t take 10 mil or around that he doesn’t really want to coach again.

Florida about to announce Kelly, vetting his staff now. When that happens the East just got tougher than ever. We better get a big name that is a proven winner, or we will be forever hiring and firing.
