Then why are you still here? There are threads to go and comment on. Why troll the ones who choose to believe? If you don’t buy it or accept it, then by all means, just go to another thread instead of lurking here to tell us why we shouldn’t.

Tennessee brought out the big boys for the final pitch last night, doesn’t sound like it’s worked, we will see what the morning brings, it’s late.

I'm not going there yet. I'm confident that UF is hot on Kiffen and they are gonna want to rub that in our face. We have to have Gruden. This will result in the ultimate showdown in the East on a yearly basis. I do not want to, under any circumstance, think or feel that CJG doesn't have that competitive spirit within him. It's in there and it's gotta come out. What better set of circumstances could a true football fan ask for than seeing Gruden vs. Kiffin on a yearly basis. And if I'm wrong about UF and Kiffin and CJG hasn't signed or won't sign with UT then I strongly suggest Currie should get after Lame ASAP.

My issue with it is obviously the entire country knows the fanbase wants Gruden, now we have received information all over the place on whether he accepted or not. The thing that doesn't make any sense is why Gruden would just play around with us on national media like that and not take the job. I can completely understand him just saying no, but don't be on national radio talking about Knoxville and Rocky Top. I know people have said Gruden likes the attention, but I really do not think he would use this and poke the fire by saying things like he did today and then reject the job. He's clearly now involved himself.

Also, as far as the Tennessee side goes, you have to be careful to not let the fanbase get so hooked on Gruden that if you hire another guy we all end up disappointed. And I also think that the longer we are all focused on Gruden it will just turn off other potentially interested coaches. So something needs to happen soon.

Yeah, I don't buy it though. No reason not to announce it. I mean if they are worried about announcing it being a distraction, then how is not announcing it not a distraction. All anyone talks about on the boards and in the media is Grumors. That is a distraction and it only gets louder each day. Plus, and this is my biggest gripe- announcing it would help in recruiting I would think.

Then again I am a dummy and am glad I am not an AD, so what would I know..

Turn out the lights....

I’ve flared up carpal tunnel being on this iPhone so much, and have loved every page of it. Reality is about to set in.
