Why does all the people that actually do reporting for a living say Gruden is a bad idea, or he is not coming. But fans seem to think Gruden is the next saban.

Gruden was barely over .500 as a NFL coach. I don't get the attraction.

The NFL is built for parity (Draft order, salary caps, etc.) some teams get a player who can carry them Regardless (Manning, Brady, etc.) And maintain a good record. Who did Gruden have? John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt? Still maintained a winning record for 11 seasons.

Let's apply logic and optics:
1. Exclude all inside sources and tweets brought to the board
2. Confirmed meeting in Tampa
3. JG knows he is a candidate yet discusses Rocky Top
4. Butch Jones image coming down off score board on a Thursday night...hmmm.
5. JG already scheduled to be on upcoming MNF.
6. JG being added to ring of honor insuring upcoming game.
7. Media is exploding calling for a confirm/deny, but still silence.

We have our guy but they are feeling the pressure to move the timeline up. But could be other contractual issues as play. Soon!

In Hyams defense:

Some of our insiders were saying Butch will be fired after USC...then after Kentucky.

Hyams said that he wouldn't. Then the week of the Missouri game Hyams posted that the next loss Butch will be fired.

He was fired.

So Hyams was at least right on that.

I don't see how you keep this up. Your tenacity is inspiring.

I'm a slacker as of late. Far easier in the old days when it was just the Gruden faithful and not the unwashed masses of bandwagon fans and multitude of Mullen trolls invading our sacred lands. Wheat to chaff ratio is off the charts as of late, so it's hard to find the posts needed to give an accurate update.

Figured that would be the case when the Grumors took off bigly in the news, so that's why I wrote the final broadcast about 10 days ago lol
