Can't believe there have been posts about Druther's. I didn't think anybody else remembered it. That was my first job when I was 16 -- worked at the one in Jonesborough. It was where the Arby's is now.

Argh! I know what you are talking about. It was competing with the old Humdinger Drive In (now Amburn's) and it was awesome...If my mom wasn't asleep I would call and ask her. For what it's worth, we always called that stretch of road "Old Knoxville Hwy" growing up.

Buster's in Murfreesboro has the best hamburger imo

Jack Browns wagyu burgers are the best I’ve had in the Boro.

Huey's atmosphere much better.

Got to drive into the heart of Hickory Hill for the real Top's experience. Look both ways getting out of your car. But that cheeseburger is legit.

Love the Texas Toast Burger at Huey's though.

Gus’ is the best. Luckily there is one in Little Rock that me and the wife can hit up once a month or so. Last time we drove to visit family we had to stop at the old, original location off I40 outside Memphis.

Chattanooga burger joints that I personally love: Clyde’s, Slicks, Tremont Tavern, and Mervs. Can’t go wrong with any of them.

which one is the one that is downtown with the really good shakes? Kind of like a 50's diner?

JAV said we would know either way in 12-18 hours. Then Gruden was on the Seattle radio show and dropped that huge tease. We haven't heard anything else of substance since then, I think we got him guys.

He said that.. and was wrong about it. We are still speculating on it.

Unless by "We" he meant Currie and the power brokers. They may know, but no one else does.

Since we’re talking burgers... In Memphis, it’s Dyer’s, Huey’s and Flying Saucer for me. My favorite is the Sunrise Burger at Huey’s... has a fried egg and bacon on it.

My cousin owned one and my sister worked there. This was in McKenzie though not Jonesborough. Druthers was great.
