That 710 AM Seattle radio appearance is very interesting. I mean, if he would knowingly say that without being our next HC, that is just either cruel or absolutely out of touch with reality.

He's just too damn cool. I bet he sleeps really well at night. I've been playing golf for 46 years and I've played all over the country. I just hope he's a scratch golfer. If not, he should be :rock::rock:

Granted this is fourth hand info, so please believe it if you like, but don’t flame me for passing along what I heard from one of my best friends:
“One of my dads friends who is really high up in the UT athletics told my dad that John Gruden will officially be the next head coach at UT. They will confirm it within the next 10 days.”

I have no agenda. And the distraction I mentioned is based on comments gruden has made in the past regarding being respectful of current coaching situations.

Probably thought nobody would hear it in these parts. The podcast isn't available yet, but I would love to hear the context in which he said it.

It doesn't bode well if you ask me, though. If he has already signed a contract and they are trying to keep a lid on it, why joke about it?
