I do not think any ESPN employee would know what JG is thinking - don't care how close they think they are to him. I've experienced numerous time in my career situations where Execs were convinced that someone would never leave and actually stated - "they are my best friend, they would tell me if they were considering anything else" - only to have the person announce their resignation the next day. TIFWIW - I don't think the ESPN crowd has a clue what's going on - either way.
Warner Agee saying on the radio the deal has been signed. Not sure how credible he is though
Posting again because I shared info at 2:00am last night once I got the group message:
I am a current student at UT - close friend of mine (already graduated) works full-time in the media (production?) department for the AD at UT here in Knoxville - I wont post the screenshot out of request but...
- to get to the point they were told the AD is being prepared for an event the Tuesday after Vandy game
- told to set up in TBA (where normal press conferences are held)
- wasn't disclosed more information - peculiar according to him
- yesterday: overheard conversation between "one of Currie's guys" and "other guys" walking through the studio and one of them said "This city is going to go nuts when they find out..."
I don't really care about getting dragged through the mud. I only post what I trust - I corroborated the Dale Jones story early on with knowledge from a person who directly knew Dale (long story on how I knew that person) and I literally broke the von pearson assault story a couple years ago and got dragged for it, ended up being completely right. that's all I have and all i'll probably have until the AD media dept hears more.

I dont think youll be hearing anything anymore from media members or coaches being contacted from here on out. It has come down from the top that any and all information be stopped. I was expecting an update last night from Hargis (family friend) after he followed up with his sources and those sources say they can not tell him or any media any more updates from here on out. After his appearance on Finebaum yesterday and grumors trending on twitter there were several unhappy folks. You wont see David Blackburn say anything either if he wants a position
within the AD.
On a side note, I ran into a buddy that Im close with at EMJ (higher up project manager). His boss Jay Jolley (he is a mid level booster) who is also the president of the company has told him that we are going to close the deal on gruden this week (he was told that Monday) and expected an announcement before Vandy. This is now twice Ive heard that this week from extremely reliable people.
I think his frustration is the same as mine that led to my post. Its people hanging on every word of anonymous message board posters that may or may not know what is going on. It may be from a booster perspective not the UT AD.
A little short story about 2012 that I do not believe I have posted yet. And I respectfully ask people stop posting where I work or who I am in real life not because I am shy but because I do not want to start getting calls at my business based on what I posted on a message board.
Freak you know me and please delete any posts trying to out my real name or where I work.
In 2012 I was far more connected than now. I am still great friends with a bunch of VFLs from the 94-98 era and was involved with the team during that time period but not as a player to be clear. I know some former assistant coaches and some people in the media that often tell me different things personally than what they say on air. Things were much different in 2012. My company supplied goods and services to the Athletic Department and I spoke almost on daily basis with officials within the AD including Assistant AD's, Transportation Directors, Media Directors etc... I am still in touch with some of them that have moved on to other schools. Back in 2012 EVERY person I spoke with said "Gruden is coming" and I willfully shared that info here. I got in trouble with UT because they Facebook stalked me since I never really tried to hide who I was thus making it easy. I was flamed to the point I left Vol Nation for several years when he didn't end up our coach.
My point is I see a HUGE red flag when someone says 100%, Its done, the eagle has landed or any other sort of post that implies the finality has been reached and a contract has been signed. I thought some of you that are newer people that were not around in 2012 should see this and now where I am coming from.
I am all in 100% that I want Gruden but again, after the 2012 debacle, I will believe it (and celebrate like hell) when I see it.
I apologize for the "Troll" post last night. I do not take back what I said because it is true but should not have posted it probably. I do not know any of the new insiders and the specific people I am talking about, although a couple are here, the vast majority are people that get quoted from TOS that found out who I was and started calling-texting me under the rouse of sharing information when in reality they wanted me to validate their information on Vol Nation. The same for Twitter which I have not even looked at since then.

Can't announce what you do not have. And I don't think they have him, nor will they.
