Wow, listening to WNML just now (I know, dont GTFO me for that) I believe one of the nega trollers here just called in in a big angry, almost yelling tone about how stupid the talk of Gruden is. Then, perfectly on cue, went on to say that his idea of a win now guy is Cut. Now I like Cut and all but that ship sailed two coaches ago. But what was funny was how the hosts jumped right in and said yeah, great idea. They are so obvious its sad....
I am one of the few that thinks JG is actually better suited to the college game. In the pros his biggest cons as a coach were player acquisition and players getting sick of his intensity. In college he doesn't really face either issue. No salary cap in college limiting his ability to bring in talent. Also, the players automatically turn over every few years.
I think during his time away from coaching he's found what he misses is developing players, especially qbs. Everyone says he won't really like recruiting. His name will recruit at first. Success will recruit later.
I listen to Bobby Rader in the morning. I used to like him (better than Bill Meade) but his smug, condescending attitude is starting to wear thin on me. If for nothing else, I would like to see JG hired so many of these guys have to eat a big sh!tburger from the fallout...
