Look! He built Oakland, and then moved to Tampa Bay and beat his own team in the Super Bowl. So actually he had two teams in the Super Bowl that he built up.

The name alone means a lot. I mean really there are bigger names.....but not any coming to Tennessee. He is seen on TV all the time, he has that Super Bowl ring, coached in the pro's, some in college......what more to recruits want to hear?

He is a QB genius, he is also a "film room" genius. He knows just about every O and D out there.....prob not stuck to just one scheme.

Gruden has ties to Tennessee. He started coaching here, his wife graduated at Tennessee, his son goes to Tennessee. "Ties" don't always mean a lot, but you could easily see he would be more committed than other coaches. If he were the man, with his ties one could easily see him retiring here.

Just think of the staff someone like Gruden could bring in. Many coaches would want to bring at least some/most of their current staff with them. While that could be good......it would certainly be better to pick the best you could at every position.

Big name
Should be a great recruiter
Would be. Great QB developer
Would be great at film study and schemes
Would be tough to be out coached
Would bring in a stellar staff
Could be here for the long haul

Can someone screenshot the quote from BabyVol? With all these fake accounts and stuff I believe no one. Plus there is so much information coming in right now and conspiracies I want to believe I think I just need to take some Benadryl and go to sleep. Soon.

You're reaching. He threw for over 4000 yards in 99. Stick with Gannon. Trying waaaay to hard to say Gruden developed a 10 year vet with a 4000 yard season before ever meeting him.

yea ill tell you what happened. Elvis grbac had the kc staff under some kind of vodoo. Gannon comes in and looks good after an elvis injury and then they trade him away. Lived in kc at the time and everyone was livid. Back to tampa when has anyone developed a qb at that place. I had high hopes for that freeman kid (kc native) but looks like cleveland and tampa are fighting over the biggest qb graveyard.

Earlier Hubbs posted that he is “at 10% but I still think it’s a long shot.” Someone should explain to him that a low percentage chance of something happening is a long shot.

X and O's - Gruden seems to be the type of guy who could give us an edge from an X and O's standpoint to get us over the hump. No doubt he loves to watch film and will constantly be working to make adjustments both in-game and out-of-game.

NFL player opportunity - Gruden understands what is required of players to make it to the NFL and will likely do a good job of getting his players there. From his connections all over the NFL, I am sure he can talk teams into drafting his guys. This will only bode well for the program. Players and recruits will want to play for him knowing that by listening and taking his advice they could take the step to the next level.

QB development - Gruden loves coaching QBs and will do whatever necessary to get the best out of them. Not only that, but I'm sure Peyton will be on board and present fora few practices here and there. What better situation could a HS QB ask for.

Connections - Gruden will be able to lure quality coaches to assist him.

Great media presence - Gruden will be able to handle the media craze that comes with coaching an SEC team. Things that may faze most coaches will not cause him to bat an eye.
