Very familiar with NB-IOT. I think Dish's long-term play is full 5G, Ergen has admitted it. I don't think, given that they have no equipment on the ground yet, they can do that by the 2020 deadline. I think the initial focus on NB-IOT is just to meet the FCC's deadline since it'll be easier/cheaper than a full 5G rollout. Ergen doesn't have the deep pockets of Verizon or AT&T and I'm not sure they'll have that level of 5G coverage in 2020.

Got it - NB-IOT to meet FCC timeline. That part makes sense. Nobody really is super close to full-fledged 5G yet (even though VZW/ATT will claim they are) I can see that. NB-IOT has been available for a while for development and any R&D requirements are far less than 5G due to the simplicity and similarity to 4G LTE / Cat-M.

He built a Super Bowl quality team, was traded by them to Tampa, and beat that team with Tampa in the Super Bowl.

He knows every single person in the NFL on first name basis. Big plus for recruits and assistants.

Has studied the playbook of 32 teams for almost a decade.

Won the Super Bowl in TAMPA.

No college coach has won the SB.

How about Jimmy Johnson.

FWIW: I talked to Brent earlier, and maybe it was just my suspicious nature, but he avoided the Gruden talk. When I asked about the press conference and what he thought about Currie's responses, he talked about how the press corp basically "drew straws" to decide who would throw the Gruden question out to Currie. He did say that he asked about the search firm to gauge a timeline. He said he believes Currie is way down the road with a new coach meaning that he is close; otherwise, he would have hired a search firm. Twice now he has said that he believes Currie has made a mistake by making it known that money is not a problem. He doesn't think it is a good business decision.

Money not being a problem may be because the money is already settled.
If that is the case, making that statement will not affect the business decision good or bad.

Many paid media types will not consider the assumption that the deal may be done with any target candidate.

yea ill tell you what happened. Elvis grbac had the kc staff under some kind of vodoo. Gannon comes in and looks good after an elvis injury and then they trade him away. Lived in kc at the time and everyone was livid. Back to tampa when has anyone developed a qb at that place. I had high hopes for that freeman kid (kc native) but looks like cleveland and tampa are fighting over the biggest qb graveyard.

Friggin Grbac. Remember everyone thinking Bmore dynasty when he rolled in?

They were going to change the name of the Henley Street bridge to the Rod Wilks Bridge, but then they remembered no one crosses Rod Wilks.

Don’t tell me can’t do it here! Very impressive! The experience he has will tell it all right here!

Some of the details he is impressively correct on, some he is close, and some he is wrong about.

For being 1,000 miles away and trying to keep up with this whole thing on a message board while juggling work and family, I value that as a compliment. Thank you. :hi:

Looking forward to the game theory post now that Butch is gone...
