aren't there 33 threads explaining this, in great detail?

No, there’s 33 threads of people saying ‘soon’ or ‘first page’ and other drivel. It’s BS that if you speak the word Gruden it goes into the thread where you can’t find **** let alone have any simblance of meaningful conversation.

He built a Super Bowl quality team, was traded by them to Tampa, and beat that team with Tampa in the Super Bowl.

He knows every single person in the NFL on first name basis. Big plus for recruits and assistants.

Has studied the playbook of 32 teams for almost a decade.

Won the Super Bowl in TAMPA.

No college coach has won the SB.

Granted, we're only a day into this thing, but one thing for sure w/ the Gruden talk, is UT getting a lot more exposure than UF. Not entirely sure if good or bad, but certainly raises the excitement bar, which I think doesn't hurt bringing interested parties to the table. UT passion off the charts. If a winner comes in, they're a legend. FWIW, I'm going with Mullen...think he'd be very solid, though not the Gruden level press.

Is he coming? VQ and 247 keep saying it’s a long shot

Beav said there would be days like this. I think that’s what we’re supposed to go on.

From Hubbs

"Waufle is an old coaching colleague of his who might be his DL if Gruden decides to take a job either in the NFL or in college. Again, I still think the percentages are low that Gruden is the Vols next coach."

Has the Pilot plane been near Buffalo in the last cpl weeks?

You mean current college coach right? Pete Carroll otherwise

"I'm sitting at 10% now but still think it's a long shot"

Hell I am impressed he's giving it 10% given how conservative he is

FWIW: I talked to Brent earlier, and maybe it was just my suspicious nature, but he avoided the Gruden talk. When I asked about the press conference and what he thought about Currie's responses, he talked about how the press corp basically "drew straws" to decide who would throw the Gruden question out to Currie. He did say that he asked about the search firm to gauge a timeline. He said he believes Currie is way down the road with a new coach meaning that he is close; otherwise, he would have hired a search firm. Twice now he has said that he believes Currie has made a mistake by making it known that money is not a problem. He doesn't think it is a good business decision.

I was not very inspired by Currie's PC yesterday, but I really like the fact that he's personally calling recruits and telling them to hang with us because we're going to get our guy. I know we have and will suffer some decommits, but I think him doing that is holding most of the class together. A quick turnaround and hiring a great coach could get everybody back on board. Soon.

I just have to say...Jay Cutler sucks! I remember when he was at Vandy and everyone talking about how great he was going to be. lol yeah right.
