that's very kind ... but outside of this thread, once a coach is announced, i figure those who have paid enough attention to know they are on "the list" will compare notes or lay in wait. you reap what you sow. either that, or i'm flattering myself that i've garnered that much of their attention.

i've only put someone on the list because i was ticked a couple times, and it's been a while back.

mostly, just culling the herd so i can manage the threads quicker.

Right. I guess the assumption would be that Vegas is bluffing by lowering the odds. I've never bet on anything though, so I'll admit I that probably don't know what I'm talking about.

The only reason UT would contact Tees agent would be to vet him for the HC position. Grudens agent would not call tees agent about an open position on his staff. UT would negotiate assistant coaches salaries after a head coach was named. Gruden would be contacting potential staff personally, not through agents.

Actually many agents act as managers for the client. They do a lot of advising. In this case his agent was contacted to see if there was interest there. He was contacted at least twice. I know that from tee.... now his best friend told me that tee was mulling the idea over, but as I have said I would be shocked if tee came here. He has opportunities to be a head coach.
