Official Jon Gruden Thread 33

No update from AV is good. Said he'd go quiet until announcement if it really was Gruden, or something along those lines. So no news is good news in this regard.

I know what he said, but I’m not sure we will hear from Atlanta_Vol until the search is over no matter who the coach is. He has said several times his company lends aircraft time to UT, so if he is providing that for the search he would have specialized info related to those flights. He seems like an honorable guy, so even though we want the info, I appreciate there are still people able to keep a secret.

ESPN analyst Jon Gruden on returning to coaching: 'You never know'

People just don't want it to mean he's sticking with ESPN. They'll take it out of context and say, he said who knows, it's in his blood, and he has no guaranteed contract

“Well, I don’t know. It’s in your blood,” Gruden told Eisen. “You get some people calling, maybe to see if you’re interested in coaching again, and maybe if you can help recommend a couple guys. I’m pretty much involved with every level of football every day of the week, so I try to help if I can.
“And one of these days, who knows, Rich? One of these days, you never know. But I’m just trying to hang onto the job I have. As you know, I don’t have a guaranteed contract.”

And Urban Meyer won’t coach at Ohio State either....

There isn't one. He is just choosing to read negativity into very generic comments Gruden made about his coaching future.

I've chosen to take it for what it is. UT has also been in touch with Jets DC Kacy Rodgers. But it's " just a smokescreen ". People only believe and hear what suits their agenda, or desires

No, I'm the kid who still wants to believe, but I'm realizing more and more that it's not true. It sucks, I know

Based upon what exactly?
Why won’t it happen?
I was here in 12, things are very different now. Even the media is changing their collective tune.
Why don’t you just wait and see, or as someone else mentioned... there is the Bobo thread.
Or do you just feel drawn to trying to start arguments

I Believe 100% he’s coming and I have more reason to think now that he is than you can provide that he’s not.
I’ll be looking for you and your partner in crime after the hire. I’ll have your crow ready

Hey Devil Dog I get where you are coming from, and I think you are correct. This thread just wants to be an echo chamber and nothing else. Just ignore the kool aid drinkers and move on.

Semper fi my brother.

Thank you both for your service, and I mean that sincerely.

Now, GTFO!
