Don't overlook Matt Ramsey who's lead singer for Old Dominion. OldVol said the phone call was made backstage at the CMA's.

It was good info from OldVolFan and I remembered the initials MR. I can't keep track of all these posts. Those big money boosters aren't asleep at the wheel. I think the deal has already taken place. They just tweaking it some and contacting potential assistants and they know that's where the major leaks are gonna occur. They must have a good reason for not announcing it. This is just my opinion.

Just got home from returning my daughter to school in Clarksville. Going through Nashville I was listening to some ESPN affiliate on the radio. They were all onboard for Mullen but lost any credibility when they stated UT could not afford 10 mil for Gruden after ther 13 mil buyouts. I just shook my head and changed the station.

Mitch Rossell was on stage with Garth on Wednesday night performing the song " ask me how I know". Rossell went to school at Silverdale baptist academy in Chattanooga area and went to school at UTC. I'm guessing( and by no means do I know anything) but the boosters kid he is tied to went to Silverdale as well

I have to quit listening to this press conference. One potentially telling thing emerged on my last listen. I’ve gotten irritated over the last several years listening to people make statements using the inflection of a question. I’ve studied the phenomenon a little bit because I hate it. It’s common among trendy California girls, among people who are uncertain of themselves, and among people trying to deceive. This phenomenon actually has a name - it’s called upseak. And Currie raised his eyebrows and used upseak when he said “One of the things it’s most important for me not to do is add to misinformation.”

SEC east has a lot of garbage coaches.
East:
1. Smart
2. garbage

West:
1. Saban
2. Malzahn
3. Mullen
4. Ogre
5. Sumlin
6. Beliema

and the 2nd best coach in the west just boat raced the best coach in the east. Sumlin would do well in the east, Beliema would be better in the east, Mullen would instantly be the best coach in the east. And any good coach in the west can't win anything b/c no one can beat Bama, and even if they do manage to beat Bama they have to survive through all the other west teams b/c Bama is likely running the table.

The SEC east has some of the worst coaching, and the worst teams in CFB. Good hires by UF and UT could change that.

The east can get the good players but can't get 'em to play together well.

Well all that adds up and that fellow named Warner Agee said the same thing at the same time. All one has to do now is watch. If JG is signed they won't be looking to hire a head coach for sure.

I think the pull to coach is stronger than some realize. I also think all the ties he has to the area make it a very attractive offer. I think probably at his age he realizes if he wants to coach again right now is a very good time to get back in. Family ties to the area, the money, the job, etc. I think you have to kick the tires on that kind of offer being close to family doing something you're passionate about and being close to family. All of that said I think ultimately he'll pass on the job, I think he already has passed on the job. I do think there was legit interest though.
