Official Jon Gruden thread 32.

Thank you for your kind remarks.

I have been cautiously optimistic, and have held my emotions in check by reconciling to, "I'll believe it when I see it." With that said, I have followed this frenzy since day one (starting years ago). From what I've seen posted, what I've heard and what pieces I have put together (along with other contributors), I'll put it this way, if he doesn't come this time, it won't be because we didn't try. I'm not a believer in percentages, so I will not publish what percentage we have in Gruden coming. Never really understood that anyway, he either comes or he doesn't, and it only takes .0001% to fold this deal like a cheap suit.

I'm all Grude and believe all the pieces are in place, we just need him to maneuver his king into a checkmate.

That's where I am, also. I've been here for the Gruden threads (not in 12' just this year) but noticed you have never really stated where you stood. Was just curious on your opinion. Thanks!

no jon gruden. Hell no.

Every time the head coaching vacancy comes up in knoxville, jon gruden's name comes up because you guys get stars in your eyes.

Gruden then floats the idea of leaving to espn, using it as a way to get them to give him more money to keep broadcasting. It's happened every single time his name comes up as a coaching replacement at tennessee.

Tennessee needs a head coach who recruits well, with a proven winning record and genuinely loves the big orange and its fans. Jon gruden has none of those abilities or capabilities. He ain't even a good nfl commentator.

I'm sick and tired of hearing jon gruden's name come up every time there's a vacancy. He needs to stay where he is, and we need to get us a great coach. Gruden is not. Dude... You're not in the running. Your number ain't coming up. I will personally travel the 100 miles to knoxville myself and lobby against you if your name comes up, and i hope you are there visiting when i do.

Quit drinking the gruden koolaid, vol fans. It ain't got no sugar in it.

I'd rather have peyton manning. Heck, i'd rather have phil fulmer back, before jon gruden. My mother would be a better choice.... At least, she has the dignity and respect to not use the offer to get more money out of her current employer.

I’m not the one trying to prove something, you are. Beav hasn’t been here for years posting in the game threads, griping about the coach, summarizing the problems, etc... he just showed up and begin presenting info that has been pretty accurate. He came from the outside of the common posters to present inside information. Make sense? So i don’t include him in the group that I’m referring too. If that doesn’t make sense to you, then drop it because I’ve already wasted time trying to convince you of something you desperately need.

Well then, that certainly doesn't prove your point! BTW, I'm not trying to prove anything; I proved it with my post. I don't need convincing of anything because I've proved it. Good day, sir! :thud:

you guys are borderline delusional.

WTH is your deal? Roll in here spouting off your childish, juvenile BS. A half-wit would know enough to bring his opinion without talking down to people.

So what's your deal? Did your Imaginary Girl Friend finally tell you she just wants to be Imaginary friends?

Deal with it Puddin....

Doesnt matter. They will not remove him mid season unless it is negotiated.

I don’t think they will remove him until MNF season ends in December, but he can announce that he won’t be returning. ( although it has been rumored that ESPN is selling their MNF rights anyway)

Depends on the contract.

Maybe he wasn’t joking in that Eisen interview the other day when he said his contract is “day to day” with ESPN. Maybe he really is based on the idea that when he’s ready to take the UT job his contract will end with ESPN.

you guys are borderline delusional.

"Why, after all your posting, all your little Daniela gifs,

you're nothing but a borderline delusional Grudenite."

"I am an exceptionally delusional Grudenite, Mrs bam025,

and since we are moving up and actually getting the Great Grude, you should be more polite."
