And I know this is the gruden thread, but if I see one person come in here screaming for Mullen after he choked that game away last night, I’m going to reach through the screen and punch them.

Yeah Mullen completely BUTCHed the end of that game. They controlled it under 2 minutes and looked like they had no idea what to do

Who knows. I still think he's our coach for the remainder of the year. Now, will it be announced that he finishes the season and will not be retained next year? I could see that happening, not sure that it will. Just a guessing game at this point.

good morning everyone. So last night after a few messages on here I decided to do some digging. Let me just start of by saying I have posted 4 times on this board. I do not have inside sources. I do have a wife that works for the University and had access to everything electronically. She deals in funding for UT and that is all I am going to say about her and her position. A very close neighbor and friend works for the AD. Guys the AD is on fire, it is in total turmoil. To think that these people in the AD who are self entitled, self righteous babies have a plan is ridiculous. My wife did some more digging last night, and I hate to tell you that what everyone is saying on here about coach Gruden is nothing short of fictitious. Those that say a MOU would be in the desk drawer are not telling you the truth. Everything signed by any party has to be placed into the schools IRIS system, PERIOD! That does not mean terms have not been reached verbally, it just means that legally if any party has signed a document it goes into the system. It doesnt have to be both parties, if one side of the agreement is signed it goes into the system. I want Gruden as bad as the next guy and hope that I am wrong, but I have to look at the evidence. Real physical evidence. I hate having to post this, and am truly sorry. If anything changes I will post, but as of now I am at 10%. And that 10% is nothing but hope. I love Grumors and reading this message board, so please dont shoot the messenger, just giving you the information I have.

I would think if Gruden really wanted the job, and the BIG boosters want him, there should be no hurdles it should happen with ease.....JMO but in 2012 seems like it was the same song and dance, and someone came in last second and nixed it all. Hope we are not trending on that same path in 2017

Gruden has turned down tn 3 times now supposedly so its more like if Tn can offer enough to intrigue him,which the latest offered rumored might do it.
I'm hoping,and it sounds like may be the case, TN just said what would it take? This time around

When things slowed down last night right after thread 32 was born I went on to sleep. The game certainly wasn't worth watching. That's the first time I've done that.

DTO's info drop doesn't bother me for reasons many stated overnight:
-he wants to be top dog, and the glazers care more about futbol than football.
- Gruden has been flying around since the Georgia game assembling and interviewing assistants.
-to me there has been sufficient evidence that the Gruden family was moving to Knoxville with or without a coaching job. Staying in tampa doesn't make sense.
-DTO also came in a few weeks ago in the middle if a game to tell us the Gruden deal was dead.
-UTVolinExile has very good info about intentional leaks and outright lies from the AD.

I'm not saying DTO is lying to us. I'm saying he is being lied to. I'm still at 90%. I think, for good reason, Gruden wants this job as much as we all want him to have it. Almost every job in the NFL has been his for the asking for many years. Why would he suddenly take a job from someone who fired him? Makes no sense.

My fingers are crossed that Butch is gone today.

Totally. If I’m being suckered then you all are being suckered. If I’m not then you all aren’t. I’m getting info from a source in the AD, these type of things are fluid. You think those guys slept at all last night? They don’t know the outcome of the games until 10-11PM and then have to make a decision. For the most part they have to wait for others to get back from away games. Lots can change in 12 hours, he texted me at 3:45AM and said he doesn’t think anything will change today. Which is different than what he said last night in the 4th qtr.

Nope. Many position vacancies have overlapping docs. We tried EVERYTHING last night and this morning. If a doc is signed it legally has to go into IRIS.
