I also find the comments about JG’s Super Bowl being with Tony D’s players ridiculous. By that logic, he made the AFC Championship game two years in a row with “his own players” in Oakland.

Do not believe one is going to happen.......... It has already been confirmed that Tee has said NO.... he is waiting for a head coaching job....


I Know Chavis (through a business experience) and he does not want to come back to Tennessee.... at least that is what he said a year ago....

I don't understand that argument at all. It makes sense in college.

Les Miles won a NC with Nick Saban's players. That's true. But that is a statement implying that Saban is a better recruiter than Miles, and gave him a roster way better than everyone else.

In the NFL, the head coach takes way less credit for the state of the roster. Scouts and the GM get that credit. On top of that, the talent of the rosters are much closer to each other in the NFL. You can't "talent your way" to a SB.

Kind of off topic, but does anyone know firsthand that Peyton Manning is really close with Haslams? Or is that just speculation? I just can’t picture the personality fit. Common business interests, yes. But the kind of relationship where they go out of the way for each other, not seeing it.

One thing i took from the interview was Gruden mentioning he didn't have a guaranteed contract.

Was shocked about the nongauarnteed contract too.
However he didn’t sound like a guy making moves in the near future. He said he liked keeping his options open and you never know.
Was impressed how he stated a few times that he wanted to make a difference and enjoyed trying to help young players.
Sounds like a college coach mentality, but hoping to hear a bit more interest in moving.

According to Tuesday about 5-6 hours ago, Tee's definitely not in the equation. He's hopeful for a head coaching job offer this off-season, does not want another coordinator job. I'd mentally set Tee aside for good, as concerns Tennessee 2017.

I have a question ppl been saying Gruden signed and it was done many diff days, even Tony B said it was signed we’d night on his show last night from someone at the B Ball game.

The only thing Gruden could actually sign would be a MOA type contract right? I mean Tennessee can’t hire a coach when we have one right? Or could CBJ have been notified he was fired already then signed Gruden. Asking because we can’t have 2 coaches at one can we? Do t get me wrong I hope it’s all signed and done and ready to be announced. Early as tomm.

I think there could be a possibility of news. Not saying their will be but I think it could be possible.

In talking to some people yesterday and this morning, there's a notion that one of the reasons for a delay in making any news is that Currie has wanted to make sure he didn't give any kind of look like he didn't support Jones or was quick to make a decision on Jones having been here less than a year. Now, I don't think anyone is going to accuse him of that at this point.

If your are Currie you have to see and be mindful of what's going on in recruiting. The uncertainty/unknown has guys looking around as evident of Martinez's visit this weekend, Mays decommitment, etc.

Now all of that said, I don't know that anyone knows what Currie is thinking or is going to do at this point.

I'm not going to be off the grid tomorrow. But I don't know that anything is for sure going to happen.

Butch has been notified. Probably the necessary agreements with him have been signed. Technically, yes, if that is the case CJG could have a binding agreement in place
