Good stuff buddy. Thats what it's all about. Memories and Traditions. Lets just hope Ut makes them good memories and carried on winning traditions. Thats why us dads are here raising immortal hell until this **** gets fixed. Because we bleed one blood. ORANGE!!

I'm in the same boat. I remember as a kid hanging on every series of UT football because we were always in the thick of things and putting up a fight in every game. Going to games as a kid, working concessions, and then sneaking out before/after halftime to stand at the tunnels and watch. Even though I probably shouldn't, I remember the championship game with FSU like it was yesterday. It's far too sad to think about what my son's experience with UT will be like if we don't do something soon.

On a side note I saw a rather large fellow last night in the murder Kroger riding in one of those "little rascal" mobile carts. He was hammered and kept running into the shelves. He also had an MIT fleece pullover on. I started laughing and ask my wife if he could be the Beaver. Almost took a picture of him, then I felt bad.

What is the "murder Kroger"? Is it like how Knoxville has the "Fellini Kroger"?

I feel you. Both my boys are young and love orange and UT right now just because it's daddy's team. I want them to experience the same excitement I did years ago.

Ah yes! I know who you are! Great to see ya here.

All I'll reveal is my last name. Starts with an H. Don't think there's another girl with that last initial on the softball team.

Tim James is doing his best to bringing back the glory days to ER. Starting with the colors.

I looked at my senior year annual (81)and I dont see an "H" for a last name, but of course there are more girls in the picture than the names listed. Nice to chat with friends of friends from the good ole days!

Yeah, I saw that alittle while back. Hoping he succeeds!!

When all of this is said and done and those of you stars have moved on, I just want to be remembered as the quiet kid who sat in the corner and was just happy to be a part of the club.

Same been here quietly since 2012 I want an OG badge too mods don't forget about us!

I know what ya mean. I remember sitting on my Grandads lap watching UT beat Notre Dame, Michigan, Miami, Alabama (multiple times), ahhh wheres the good ole days. Now apparently if we beat a 5-7 Nebraska team, "its some of the best football UT's had in 20 years".

Beaver - “Can you imagine getting stuck in a conversation with @JimmyHyams at a social function? No charisma, intellect, or imagination. You could catch Moby Dick with a fishing rod and he would be talking about the weather.”

All the Grudenites need to gather around and celebrate the incoming future of UT Football.

Currie: “I’d like to welcome the newest HC for the University of Tennessee, Mr. Jon Gruden.

Gruden: “Thank you John. Well first off I’d like to say that I’m blessed to receive this opportunity to be your HC for the University of Tennessee. I always said that Tennessee was my dream job. It’s very exciting to see a dream turn into reality. My wife and kids are also very excited to see their husband/dad to have this opportunity. I don’t know if you know this but my son is a student here at the University of Tennessee so I’m sure he’s going to love seeing my face every day on campus. Ya know, I spent 9 year broadcasting Monday Football. I suddenly got the itch to get back into coaching and what better time to start than right now right? I realize UT has major expectations every year which you’d expect from a high energy fanbase. I will say this though, we’re going to get back to the basics of football. X’s & O’s you might say. We’re going to be a smash in the mouth type football team that’ll run down a defense. Me and my assistants are going to work our guys hard whether it’s just practice or in an actual game. We want to put our players in the best position to make plays. Connecting with young college players I feel, is the best way to get the most out of your guys. Obviously the rules and regulations in college are a lot different from what I’m used to in the NFL. But it’ll be a learning process for me and I’m confident I can succeed here at the University of Tennessee. You know me, I love to work and I’m a huge nut when it comes to the game of football. Obviously it’s going to be a lot of work but that’s ok with me. I’m ready to get this show on the road so I’ll answer any questions the media might have.”

*UT Football comes relevant again on this very day.*

PS. I tried way too hard on this. :)

You gave me a Grude-on

Hi Pete

I didnt know that until recently. I graduated from ER in 81. He is a wonderful man and great principal. His youngest son, Greg was in my same class. I ran CC/Track for Coach Mickey Haddock back then. Do we know each other?

Sure we do. Carpet is pretty close to my name and was probably worst basketball player in East Ridge history. Soo bad career was litterly CUT short. LOL Ran around with Corney.

update on the spicy reddit nug from earlier!

As another poster has pointed out, it now appears as though u/Grizzlymint is going to post his picture that is allegedly proof Gruden has been in Knoxville this past week. This was previously vetted by a mod on that subreddit, but due to job concerns/self-preservation of some sort it was not publicly posted. OP said it would be too easy to pinpoint who took & posted the pic. Not sure what changed, but that appears to be what is going down at 10 est, and why he referred to the timing as being cst, because it's his timezone and when he intends to post. Still a bit of speculation, but seems logical. We may be able to combine any new info from the pic with our existing info on the MNF trucks/leaks to piece together what's really going on.
