i gave in and got the game yesterday. i'll have to say that the overall game is much better than gh2. i think the soundtrack for this one is unbelievable. it's definitely a good buy.

I play online all the time. There has been a big issue with the official GH website and online play due to soooooo many people playing.

Have you done the "Link Account" thing yet?

What's your gamertag? Mine is Turn3

my gamertag is egotisticalfunk. it gave me a code last night to put in. i just played two games online. is there a way that i can register without having that code with me?

code ties your account at guitarhero.com to their server/game records. Can't link account without it.

It's probably just me and old age, but the new controller is easier to use on 1 and 2 than it is on 3. Then again, that could also just be a quirk of the PS2, but in 3 you almost have to hit the notes early.

btw, Hier kommt Alex by Die Toten Hosen is a fun song as well.

That kid is freaking awesome. Makes me look bad. I only got to hard a gave up because I don't have the time play very much.

They are working on it, but I'd say you're still looking at a few months away at least. And at that point, you are probably going to need memory cards or some big flash memory cards to hold them.

They have announced a disc replacement plan. If you have the version that is only in mono, they are going to swap discs with you free of charge. Look around the net if you are interested in this.
