I just scored 5 Stars on medium for "Stricken". Not that impressive to most of you, but for me it's a major accomplishment. When I first played the song, I failed less than 10% into it.
I've moved away from the wireless controller too. It just doesn't seem fast enough.

Sweet just beat it on medium and only have 3 songs to get five stars on left. It's One, The Mark of the Beast, and Raining Blood though. This is gonna suck.

How do you use the strum bar? Up and down always or just down? What is the best finger or fingers to use while struming?

I'm at the final battle on Hard mode. Lou hands me my butt every single freakin' TIME!!! :banghead2:

You've got to learn how to alternate! Some songs are improbable to complete by only down strumming.

I stop at medium. I can 5* almost all medium songs with only down strumming. I can't catch the orange button for the life of me.

yeah- that's one of the toughest humps to get over.

if you want some practice with your orange notes, go back go GH1 or 2 and try some of the early songs on hard. On those two games, the hard setting is about as fast as the medium setting on GH3.

Rock Band is a lot slower than GH3 as well. I've been able to play through the first 3 groupings on hard and made it through "Wanted Dead or Alive".

I'll pass... Aerosmith sucks. Build me a game around Bullet for my Valentine or Coheed and Cambria and I'll buy it.
