I wonder if kelly not being a for sure lock to FL like it seemed earlier has had anything to do with info still being kept tight or if it had any effect on anything now that it looks like he may go west.

I don’t think the coaches , boosters or AD would just let Cade Mays twist in the wind like that without atleast some reassurance of hope and I’ll bet it’s more info than they have given us ..imho

I’m no “insider” don’t have any “insider” information either to start things off. I do think there is some validity though to Gruden rumors. Neither party has anything to gain at this point by not shutting the down. The University of Tennessee is doing the next coach “if not Gruden” a huge injustice. Whoever hired if not Gruden will be a huge let down to many in the fan base. I know our administration has to be smart enough to know this. The longer the Grumors go on with our putting an end to it the less attractive the position becomes to another coach. For Gruden I know people keep saying he loves to be wanted and it drives his value up. I get that with other coaching positions. However, this one is a little different. This one hits close to home. Literally! His son is at the University of Tennessee. His wife’s family and friends are from here. This is their home. The longer he toys with this fan base the more likely he becomes a villan To this fan base. Look at Kiffin after he left us high and dry. I know Gruden didn’t leave us but the fans will feel like he just played with them for his own benifit. With all that said i feel like if Gruden isn’t our next coach both parties have seriously mishandled this situation. Here’s to hoping Gruden will be our next coach.

The news about Petersen threw me off this morning and got me really excited about someone other than Gruden for once. I think it's a smokescreen though. They're working hard to throw us off the scent. The plane trolling us yesterday the constant news of new names being tossed out. They're kicking the can down the road for a big announcement. I'm staying strong with a Gruden announcement after Vandy and I won't be shook again.
