Exile also predicted Gruden would throw us a juicy bone on MNF, so... Maybe Gruden's just waiting for the 4th quarter after everyone is asleep. That'd get good exposure.

There were also a couple folks adamant about him making a formal announcement tonight that he will not be accepting the job. A few folks will get exposed tonight. I suspected them as trolls anyways because it seemed like they were just jumping on the Matts post.

After today I think after Vandy

There was a poster in the RF I believe who compared the last few TN hires.

Butch was (officially) hired on December 7, 2012. I can't remember when news begin to break but it was fairly close.
Lane Kiffin was (officially) hired on December 1, 2008, but news began to leak on November 28.
Dooley was an exception due to the circumstances so we'll ignore him (in more ways than one?).

For both Butch and Kiffin, the previous head coach was fired prior to the end of the season (though Fulmer stayed on until the end). This case seems to be most similar to Kiffin. I believe the Butch timeline was longer than hoped due to him being way down the priority list. The one variable we don't have historical data on is the early signing period. However, I still believe that an 11/28 hire (next Tues) would be in-line with previous hires.

Yes, you can argue "a new regime in charge," but I think the principles still stay roughly the same. I would speculate any leaks to start earliest on Friday 11/24 but more likely Monday 11/27 with the official announcement on 11/28. Many (potential) insiders have alluded to that day being significant. I think it logically makes sense. I wouldn't expect to hear anything this week.

Stuff like that mentioned is why it’s hard for me to get fully on board, I’m hoping but it’s all based on others info and when that info turns out to be bogus it makes me doubt everyone and that comes out as being a negaGrude... I’m not, I’d like to have Gruden as much as anyone but I also hate feeling duped!

No worries man. You can be optimistic about Gruden coming without blindly following any one person's info, especially when they're standing alone in that. I'm as confident as I have been throughout this process based on what I've heard and who I've heard it from. But I can be optimistic about that while still being skeptical about the info or motives of posters like Exile, Beaver, or others. When guys guess on specific days or events to happen (like Gruden using his MNF platform to push his own personal agenda), I will always be skeptical. Seems more like a guess with the hope of some e-cred if it comes true.

Just because you're skeptical of a poster doesn't make you a NegaGrude.

Yes, Exile told us on Saturday night that an announcement would come Sunday, with something special on MNF from Gruden himself.

Hey now. That's not at all what I said, and you know it. You know it because we discussed it back and forth, and I made it clear that I was not predicting anything, I just thought it was likely. I said I'd tip my hat to you if it wasn't announced yesterday, and I did so. Don't try to revise what i actually said, ok? I'd hate to have to retract my hat tip.

Way more people have been saying Tuesday after Vandy game. Look back at my old post. Directly from the media dept at UT AD.
