My OPINION - and don't get confused, this is PURE OPINION - is that CJG is real close to saying yes.

I think the narrative is pretty believable (a small mountain of click-bait trolls aside), and that announcement time is a residual decision to be made.

I believe we have a good shot, if it isn't done already. (I have some issue with the "done already" part based on the TPRA and access to "contracts, including those in draft form only." (Although I've previously stated records requests can be easily thwarted).

There has been nothing definitive up to this point either way. For every point indicating its not Gruden, there's been counterpoint saying it is Gruden. Ultimately, it comes down to faith. To that end, I believe.

And, I won't be upset that I was wrong, even if I am upset in our choice of coach. There's enough smoke to form a rational belief. No shame in believing.

I truly hope you're right.

FWIW.. To those of you who are worried about Norvell:

I live in Memphis and I'm engaged to an Ole Miss fan... Most of the talk around Norvell out here is that he might leave for Ole Miss. No one is really talking about the Ole Miss opening because they appointed Matt Luke to HC for this season, but Matt Luke is still an interim. They are looking to hire a permanent coach at the end of this year, and it will not be Luke. He only got the job because he's from a blue-blood Ole Miss family and they needed someone ASAP when the Freeze hookergate story broke. A lot of people, on both the Ole Miss side and the Memphis side, think it will be Norvell.

Supposedly Ole Miss has offered Taggart their HC job.I think Norvell could end up at Ark if Malzahn doesn't end up there.Norvell and his wife have strong ties to the state.

Only thing I get out of that is I need to hang out at our airport more. NO WAY do we let our plane that is able to be tracked publically fly to Starkville to talk to Mullen. Currie plays too close to the vest for that. Why would he fly commercial last week and then use that? Makes no sense.

Atlanta Vol said it was a waste of time to track planes. Said we wouldn't be able to track the "real" plan traffic. This flight to Starkville is probably another smokescreen.
