It did fail but it quickly became the talk of the town. Made the major local news. Folks fought back with donating tix to kids and such.

It was a fair warning. Could easily become reality if we were to end up with a 2nd tier coach.

Correct. All of the sudden you start hearing media guys begging to gove tickets to kids that couldn't go to a game otherwise. I think the AD was sweating over it.

Beav said he’s throwing us two parties! One is a big tailgate and the other is a Black tie event. Air out your tux, HFG!!

Than why not just go public? That's a weak excuse IMO. Makes him look weak like he's hiding. He wants the attention but not the negative kind. He likes seeing his message circulated. No one can rebut his claims so we all just look at him in awe.

Sorry, I will reignite the apathy that the dismissal of Butch quenched, and move forward being just a football fan. I love my University, this City, and this State, but will not support what I feel to be another half-effort at hiring a lackluster coach.

They need to understand, the longer it takes to make a move to return us to some type of prominence, the longer it will take to garner the type of fan-support they desire.

Sorry for the self-important, overwrought personal rant. This is the last I'll say on the matter....it doesn't have to be my choice of coach, but it better be worthy.

I could get behind Frost or Campbell just because of the upside potential.

It didn't fail at all really. There were 35000+ empty seats even with a massive ticket giveaway that rivals the Lady Vol basketball giveaways to set attendance records. Plus, as you pointed out, it was a loud shot across the bow of the UTAD that the consumer is fed up.
