Didn't Dale Jones mention the 10.3 "mile" in his Instagram post this weekend? :p

yes his did - that is a very odd mileage with tenth's exactly the same as the rumored salary

could be a coincidence but that might be the biggest of the year and he's one helluva runner then

James Franklin went 11-13 and was in the SEC East. So Mullen has a better SEC winning percentage than Franklin. Would you take Franklin? Or he is also not "splashy" enough?

For the record, I'm all on the Gruden train. Just making the point.

Comparing it based off their first 3 years Mullen was 9-15 his first 3 years. So Franklin had a better first 3 years and had 2-9 win seasons in his 3 years and Mullen 1 in his first 3. And Vandy is a much harder place to win at than Miss St. Franklin isn't leaving his home state anyway but I definitely don't get excited about Mullen and would be very disappointed if Currie hires him. Don't see Mullen leaving nor do I see Currie actually making that hire. I'm quite sure he's talked to Strickland and been told how difficult he is to work with. That's been going around for years about Mullen. I'm guessing that's why he doesn't get many offers to leave Miss St.

My uncle is a looooong time season ticket holder... say he won't renew if it's Mullen. I'm taking a wait and see approach before I make my decision.

Ok this is the first time I’m questioning Beav

EmptyNeyland failed miserably

not exactly... it got a lot of attention

I didn't think it was a good thing.. luckily it didn't happen but I think the goal of it worked due to the attention it got

Dan Mullen = Rich Rodriguez

Rich Rod was a hot name at West Virginia. Then he went to a big program like Michigan and flopped.

Dan Mullen is not the answer here. He's not an elite coach.

I wouldn’t worry about him taking more than a glance

If Florida Co Ed’s gave him trouble.... look out.

Someone should also tell Beaver that since his tweets are protected, he's wasting his time tweeting to Basilio. Basilio can't see it unless he follows Beaver.

He's just trying to rile up the fanbase, which is part of the push for Gruden, to get the fanbase to speak up for who they want as coach. The overwhelming majority obviously want Gruden.

C'mon people. This has gotten beyond ridiculous.

So, 'insider' Beav is now talking about TN taking a Sexton client AFTER he has stated his uber-confidence about Gruden in many posts and idiotically cryptic tweets.

I, for one, am completely over this whole thing. Over it. Over. It.

I am 100% confident it will not be Jon Gruden. It will 100% be another sh**** hire along the lines of Brohm, Mullen, Morris, etc...

Thanks to all of you good people in here. You have been very gracious and reinforcing, but I am sick to death of this. Good luck and Happy Holidays to all!

Realistic options from that list would be Les Miles IMO.
Harbaugh is not available until January. Gundy, even though he is currently in a rift with AD, is home. He's where he wants to be. Kelly will probably go to UCLA. I think he wants to avoid being in a conference with a dominant coach. He wants to be THE alpha coach. Jimbo isn't leaving FSU unless he just needs to get away from his family situation and thinks a fresh start is what he needs. But his time with kids will suffer. Patterson is just angling for a raise. Lane is looking to jump to the NFL as an OC. Which would be the best thing he could do.

Supposedly Jimbo is very unhappy at Fla St and looking to get out of Tallahassee. Has to do with not being happy with the entire AD Department. I will be surprised if Jimbo isn't coaching somewhere in the SEC next season. Either TN, A'M or Auburn if Malzahn bolts for Ark.

I know what is a fact and what isn't. If you cant tell the difference between what I was told and what he was told - and what is clearly more believable. I cant help you.

Using words like "facts" and "clearly" is always problematic, especially on a message board.

You know what is a "fact" but offer nothing to support yourself. Granted, other theories are grounded by similarly insufficient support. Thus, anyone choosing between stories is equally justified in making their assumptions.

What is "clearly" more believable is likewise a decision based on minimal facts. I think about it like the standard for granting Motions for Summary Judgment (MSJ). A MSJ is only appropriate when there is no issue of fact, and the law directs an outcome based on the facts. In short, if there is a dispute over what the truth is, no court will grant a MSJ.

In this case, there is substantial basis for dispute. There are circumstantial facts galore that point to JG being in the mix. Perhaps he has turned the job down, but there is nothing "clear" demonstrating that.

In short, until you begin using words correctly there is no reason to insult someone's reading comprehension. We are reading you "clearly" we just don't agree on your "facts."
