If you ever see me guess a specific day, or tell people the next 24-48 hours could be interesting, then yes, you can accuse me of whipping up the posters in here. I'm not that connected. I'm not going to make predictions (or guesses) like that. I never said anything about the Sunday after the Vandy game. Didn't guess. Didn't predict.

Based on the information I had been given, I disagreed with your "guess" that Gruden would be hired on Sunday, and you took it a step further and "guessed" that this was going to happen "win or lose" vs. LSU. I found that hard to believe and wanted to help people temper their expectations for Sunday. That's all.

Better days are ahead.

If I were running things, I WOULD NOT bring in recruits to the Vandy game UNLESS I had the coach signed, sealed and delivered. Why expose them to coaches who are coaching their last game for UT? That would be a real downer and would probably result in the loss of most of the recruits. What could the coaches say to the kids? "I can't tell you anything kid, because I don't know anything. All I know is I probably won't be here next week." Bad any way you look at it. I would wait to bring the kids in when I had the new coach. Nothing else makes sense. So, either Currie is an idiot or he's going to reveal the new coach to the kids this weekend. I sincerely hope it's the latter. It it is, it's Gruden.

I played Summer league in ER? That? Just trying to see if I know you. Always been outspoken Vol fan especially ERHS. Know Sugarvol knew you but none of that gave me any clues.

It could actually hurt. They are looking for jobs elsewhere and could probably try to lure recruits in a different direction

Do you know who later became Chief of Police in Chattanooga, that was class of 82? We were inseparable. I didn't play baseball past 16 y/o. Went to Army after Graduation. I just wanted to leave.

Good for you. Say what you want to say, predict, guess, or whatever you like. Disagree and argue with me, I'm good with it all. But do NOT attribute words to me that you know I didn't say. Just don't do it.
