We know av is legit, we are not sure about the beav but i do know av didn't vet him completely. I don't need to go back and read anything because i have been here the whole time. I just want folks that haven't been here to not be mislead by some close but not quite exact info. That's all. If you think what av said about him completely vetted him, that's fine. Carry on.

The one thing that I am having issues with on the VC thing, there has not been a specific word said in all of this - "incubator". That is the word that most VC groups would be investing in as there is the chance of a huge return. A straight investment into a college does nothing for them, they can't sell it, they don't own a piece of it and it's not a viable company.

I just wonder if we won't have the answers we want until everything is said and done.

My point is, I don't believe these people have had Gruden on the hook for years, and when the right time came, they swooped in on the AA like a predatory avian. These tactics and appeasements had to be done to secure a coach of his caliber. Period.

I'm not willing to commit that far into the conspiracy. I have my limits. But if you have contrary evidence, I'd love to see it.

I'm not a native of SFD, but Mr. SFD has lived here for many years. When he was a younger man he'd have 1 too many and tell people he was from soddy f'n daisy. So his friends started calling him SFD. During the 2012 debacle I signed up here when Mr.SFD spotted grider at the high school the day after he resigned from South Pitt. I had never signed up for an internet chat board, but this is what I thought of when I needed a handle.

The fact that I am called SFD on here is the only thing that makes this tolerable for Mr. SFD.

My daughters softball team was out of Soddy before moving to middle valley.

I haven’t seen this posted today, but this a Podcast Finebaum does on Sunday’s...
He starts talking about coaching searches around 22:00..
He states that Gruden had someone from within ESPN call him last Monday, and tell Paul that Gruden wasn’t interested in the Tennessee job..
But then Gruden did Mike and Mike on Wednesday, and didn’t shoot down rumors..
Plus the Seattle interview on Friday..
I think if there is no public denials tomorrow by AD, or Gruden’s agent..
There is more than smoke..
