I thought it was written in his contract that he must make an attempt at finding another job? (And getting hired somewhere would reduce what we pay him)

If that's true, then how does turning down jobs work?

As bat sh** crazy as it sounds, I believe knuck.

The one thing that I am having issues with on the VC thing, there has not been a specific word said in all of this - "incubator". That is the word that most VC groups would be investing in as there is the chance of a huge return. A straight investment into a college does nothing for them, they can't sell it, they don't own a piece of it and it's not a viable company.

ER, I thought the same until I looked at the job opening postings by the university. In the last week or so a bunch of biomolecular research post PhD jobs with high level pay posted. That’s the kind of research that can lead to some high payoff conclusions - especially in the DoD... A venture capital firm with a stake in that research stands to make a very good return on investment.

Thanks! I appreciate this! And honestly I've been lurking since September and finally decided to join/participate in October. I'm not meaning to stir any negativity or get anyone pissed off, I'm just trying to remain objective. I truly believe Gruden is a strong possibility and is still in play. I just hate seeing everyone get tore up over some dude tweeting cryptic messages that probably gives his ego a boost and that's it. I know he offered to help that one guy, which is awesome and deserves recognition. But I also find it hard to believe that he's as in deep as he claims he his. From what I can tell, the one guy who is 100% not a fraud is ATL. I'm sure there are others, but he's the only one I've paid close attention to that seems to have some bit of knowledge. No offense to any of the others, just my opinion.
