I'm riding with DTO expecting an announcement this week. If it doesn't happen, I'll find someone else that has the next soonest prediction and go with it

Not saying DTO doesnt have good info, but I would be surprised by an announcement this week. It is a holiday week and we only have one game left. Making an announcment this week gains nothing. Look for the season to end first as it is the best for the program and respecting the current players/ staff.

My concern about the validity of the circulating "email" is in regards to referring to Currie as "JC"... seems unlikely that an email requesting boosters would refer to the host of the event by his initials rather than his name. Also...this might have been discussed previously (my apologies) but why refer to the search team as "Rocky Top Athletics Search team"? That doesn't seem like something the university would call it, in my opinion.

Let's just say Gruden takes the job as head coach at Tennessee, the Vols won't start winning until he rebuilds the roster, because the talent level is way down for the Vols

I interpreted the VC to help sway AA to support such a large investment in athletics as would be required to get Gruden. Also a way to increase the quality of work coming from the university. I viewed it as people who love UT investing in the university because they love the university, not so much to make money. Though I’m sure they will benefit.

I get that, but all the VC groups listed have no ties to UT. Again I am not against Gruden coming, I have been wanting that since 2012. Just have questions about some of the info being put out.
