He was hired to bring in that his group of Springdale players to Ark then left after 1 year. Him and Nutt supposedly didn't get along at all. He is as Arkansas as they come.

Because it sounds like bad news and contradicts much that the rest of our trusted insiders have said so makes them unbelievable if you look to those ones for insight.

Insiders, including you, have said it’s a done deal....still mulling is not done!

Announcement soon as in today, is not after thanksgiving or December!

Some don't understand this concept. Vegas is not in business to pick scores, per se, they're in it to make $$$$$.

The opening line, for all practical purposes, will drive the money made/lost. Period!

Watching this thread when I can I must admit can be pretty entertaining. Trying to catch up on a flight as we speak. Couple of bullet points to keep some folks that have really bad information in check here...and that’s really all I can do at this point again have to protect the university, the process, and my relationship with it. Everyone will know when we have a new hire...

1. Gruden was not at Calhouns yesterday.
2. Currie primarily flies commercial on UT business..guy is a hustler and should be respected for that.
3. No need to ever track wheels up planes those are not being used for UT business
4. The vast majority of meetings are NOT happening in any location that would “make sense” (Ie, Knoxville etc)
5. Great lengths have been gone into keeping the tail numbers etc that are being used different from ones that have really ever been posted in here before. Take into account my company alone has 5 planes now that may or may not be used all of which none of those tails are known...so imagine how many others are out there. Additionally usually the registration of said planes are done with essentially phony LLC’s in states other than where the planes are used or kept that have no connection to anything that could ever get traced back to an individual.
6. There is a sense of urgency to get this done as quickly as possible but you can’t force someone’s hand purely with $$$. If it were that easy we would have someone already.

I hope everyone who was able to go to game yesterday enjoyed the experience as much as possible. I was bummed that the weather sucked....first time in box for entire game for me in a long time.

I am around a bit today relaxing preparing to turn and burn for the holiday week...I wish each and everyone of you and your families a wonderful thanksgiving holiday. Take time to hug your wife, kids, and parents if they are still around. That’s what its all about.

No signal just wanted to get somethings out there to help people save their gas money trying to drive out to Tac Air to catch a glimpse of something....

There is a clear plan and a clear plan beyond that first plan all of which I am comfortable with...all won’t be but we know what they say about opinions.

He's better suited from a personality standpoint out there. He would never be able to recruit consistently enough here I don't think and his show cause is a huge strike against him. He's not worth that risk. He supposedly covets the Ariz St job. I will be shocked if he isn't coaching in the pac 12 next year unless he gets an NFL offer.Currie isn't going anywhere near him or Petrino.

To be clear, I didn't take the post as a bad thing. I just took it as it's still not a done deal and we have a good plan B in case it falls through. I still think it's happening. Just too much smoke to not be something there.

In business and in life, I tend to set 30 day, 60 day, 90 day, 1 year, 5 year, and sometimes 10 year goals and plans. My best guess is that these extremely successful business people do as well. I read it as "we have a clear path for the next 5 (or 7 or 10) years, and a clear path after that (coach in waiting or the like).

To me, "plan" means something I intend to do. "Path" means something I am doing.

Obviously, I am simply interpreting like everyone else, but I think he would have said "plan A" and "plan B" if that is what he meant.

Atl never said plan A and plan B! "There is a clear plan and a clear plan beyond the first plan" To me this could be the Tee rumors as in there is a clear plan(Gruden) and then the usage of the word BEYOND as in after the first plan(Tee in waiting) IMO This and his other post about who's in control right now could be him saying Gruden is in charge of when the announcement is made! And as he has pretty much made clear he would like an announcement at a regular time after the season. When his assistants and Head coach in waiting can be announced!!

So all in all...Its still all Good!!

TIFWIW....AV many threads back said MIT_Beav was the real deal, not trolling. Beav has stood steadfastly by his original story. AV seems to have dampened his posts but I'm just guessing there's a logical reason for doing so. I think it may have to do with the DC. AV mentioned some "snags" had come up earlier in the week but I can't imagine a snag so important to cause Gruden to back completely out. As has been mentioned, maybe some of the big boosters have simply asked AV to tone it down for reasons only they know....JMHO.

In regards to how far reaching this forum thread is.. since 10-6-2017. The John Gruden threads alone (Threads 12 through current 38) have reached 12,812,740 views as of 2:30 today.

Over 150,000 replies in the same time period.

This coaching search larger than we know.. keep in mind when you are posting.. you are in a sense representing the fan base of the volunteers. Don't make us out to be a horses ass.

Anti grudens. Stay out. There are plenty of forums out there for you to vent on alot of the nonsense that is going on. But please.. this thread is a place for a lot of people to step away from stresses of reality and have a light hearted conversation with fellow volunteer fans. There is enough bs going on in the world we do not need your trash on our lawn.

I'm not an insider, so there's that.

It's pretty easy actually. I believe it's done. If it's done, then he could be mulling something, but it isn't whether or not to be our next head football coach.

I can't say it any clearer than this, and if you still don't get it, you're deliberately being obtuse. Or trolling.
