Grand Vol: what do you think about the above behavior exhibited by Gruden? It's going to be tough living in Knoxille if he has strung us along I think.

My hopes and dreams are to get on the first page of the official Gruden Threads. 0 for 38 so far. Oh well, will keep refreshing non stop all day.

The strangest part to me is the radio silence since Thursday. I feel like we would have heard he turned us down by now. Instead leaked articles saying we have “reservations” about hiring him and mutual interest in Tampa Job.

I agree, if we don't announce this week, it likely means we are waiting on season to end for an active head coach that we are pursuing. I would see a Gruden announcement Tuesday or Wednesday. If not, then I am guessing we are pursuing Mullen or another HC and The Gruden ship has sailed yet again.

On Mike and Mike Gruden stated that his life is all about his family and football. The timing is right. It just makes sense. He’s coming. I have zero inside info. Lots of smart people in these threads have connected the dots. Insiders have given their best insight. There’s plenty of smoke and zero denials. But more than anything, just like Saban finally said yes to Alabama because of his wife, Gruden will do the same for Tennessee. I believe that in my heart.

I didn't justify the fan's behaviour, agree with it or say that it was okay. My point is that that's what you are signing up for as AD at any SEC school who's fan base is intent on returning to relevance. When you get 100,000 people together there will always be a few ***holes in the crowd - Vol fans or not.

I tend to agree with the other poster. Currie knows what comes with this job. If he's replacing the women's soccer coach, nobody will bother him. Most days, he'll be able to stroll through campus without issue. When he's in charge of replacing the men's football coach, every personality type in this fan base will come out of the woodwork.

He knows this. He's been here before. It doesn't make it right or any less "cringe worthy" for the rest of us. But he makes a helluva lot of money to deal with the idiots.

Been away...just catching up...

Saw the post last night from Faceless and the tickets and experience she was gifted by AV, and it made me feel great to be a Tennessee Vol.
