Agree. Never would have been able stop the hiring of a mediocre coach. The Penn State history gave the gravitas to stop the hire.

The Penn St history is EXACTLY why he should have never been on any list considered when you look at the last two years at UT.

The fact that he is a ****ty HC and still made the cut says there was zero actual grading of candidates and it was solid good ole boy networking.

I often wonder if people in the AD create accounts to use to test support in the fan base. If this guy was that type of account, the strong negative response was certainly ignored.
