It sucks because on one hand you basically handed them the game but on the other hand you could say we were the better team and that’s with missing 4 key defenders. Heck with McCoy and Gibson healthy we may win that game by 2 scores. This is the best team Heupel has had

You are correct bud, few things in life are truly "guaranteed". But if he makes that FG, we have to lose 3 of our last 9 games to miss the playoffs. We would have to lose to bama, lose to Flarda AND lose to Oklahoma or somebody else too. So the only way...the only way that choke didnt cost us a playoff berth is IF we go 6-3 or worse in our next 9 games. 8-4 or worse overall. Because 10-2 in the SEC is in the playoffs.
There is a lot of football to be played though, youre absolutely right. I just dont see us losing 3 more games and going 8-4. Hey, we can still make the playoffs too. His choke didnt cost us a berth, but if he makes it we are 3-0 and likely will be favored in every single remaining game but perhaps at Bama.

Its not like the loss falls solely on the kicker, either. I get that. Our defense took a beating. Arion Carter (#7) is the best tackler on our team and All SEC caliber. He missed a sack 1 on 1 and missed a tackle on 4th down that was huge. Boo got smoked repeatedly and missed tackles from Nickel...and muffed a punt. The refs robbed us the whole game with flags and let UGA hold on defense AND push off with WRs. I want to see the penalties breakdown for # flags and yards . It was incredibly one sided IMO. Whats crazy is despite ALL THAT happening, our offense was so dang good that we still had a chance to kick a routine FG to win it in regulation. Nobody predicted that. The over/under was 49.5 i think. 85 points scored. What a ballgame. What do you think about our RBs? I love Bishop and he plays tough and blocks great...but to me it appears that our offense runs best with Star Thomas in the game. He looked really good again. Lewis is definitely RB3 in my book and there's a big gap between RB2 and RB3.

Nothing wrong with being sad about a close loss. We had them and let it slip away. It happens.
This is the best we've played them since CJH took over. We're almost there

i think its against his nature to pucker up like that and he over engineered the last two drives.

Georgia wouldn't even be in the position they were in except for Kirby rolling the dice and coming up double 6s 5 times
