Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

ANY SPORTS WRITER that STILL has ND in their Top25 next week should immediately have their voting privileges REVOKED by the AP.

They are 0-2. Have not won a game this season. Yall wanna take guesses as to how many AP votes they STILL have Sunday night when the AP poll comes out? Hell there will probably be enough votes that they're still ranked in the top 25. At 0-2 on the season and with a schedule full of nobody ahead of them. People wonder why lots of people hate ND. Absolutely ridiculous.

Both, I think. Vandy is well coached and has a leader at QB.

SC QB Sellers is not nearly as good as the preseason hype machine made him out to be either. He had a pretty good year in 24 and they reportedly raised his NIL up over $1M per year to keep him at SC...but from what i have seen of him he is not a good passer. Great runner but not very good throwing the ball. I heard preseason ESPN talking about him being an early round draft pick...i dont think he is even close to being NFL quality. This is a weak year for QBs in the upcoming draft...but I just dont see him near the top. Glad we have Vandy at home this season. Glad they beat the chickens too

Hope yall didnt miss the Crawford vs Canelo fight i told yall about this week. Should have reminded you today. My bad.

Crawford the American was the underdog who moved up and fought at 168...Canelos weight class...having never even fought at 160lbs before. Crawford started out his career and became unanimous world champ 1st at 135lbs. Worked his way up to 154lbs and took all 4 world champ belts there. Tonight he moved up to 168lbs and BEAT Canelo in a unanimous decision to take all 4 belts now at 168lbs from Canelo.

Crawford is the only boxer ever to hold all 4 belts from 2 weight classes. Now he has all 4 from 3 weight classes. He is 43-0 with 31KOs. Canelo falls to like 62-3-2 with 40 something KOs. Both guys have been in the pound for pound top10 fighters on Earth for more than a decade. Both guys are 1st ballot HOF. I think Crawford will probably retire now. He is 37yo...43-0...got more belts than my wife's closet door. He doesnt need the money anymore. He gave all the glory to God by the way after the result and didnt say a single word about himself. Not "I really worked hard" or " i knew I could do it" he thanked God and then talked about how great a fighter Canelo was and that he was honored to fight him. It was classy as Ive ever seen. The only thing i was disappointed in was that the RECORD crowd at Raiders stadium in vegas never chanted USA. USA. USA...they set a new attendance record for the stadium like 73,000 people. Hope that Netflix made a bunch of money and does this frequently instead of the best fights always being on PPV.

What do you think about our RBs? I love Bishop and he plays tough and blocks great...but to me it appears that our offense runs best with Star Thomas in the game. He looked really good again. Lewis is definitely RB3 in my book and there's a big gap between RB2 and RB3.
I missed this yesterday. Sorry.
I think Star has some quickness that Bishop lacks. But they aren't separated by a lot.

I get the feeling those 2 are not RB 1 & 2 as we normally think of starters and subs. I think those 2 are RB1 and they are used almost interchangeably.

@Freak
I know you don't normally after a loss, but can you upload the game to YouTube?. Only highlights available right now.
It was such a great game even though the ending was brutal, I personally would like an opportunity to watch it again.

TIA.

i will never watch that game again in the remaining years i have on this earth

Totally agree. We have a really good team. Better than I expected. That doesnt mean dude didn't choke the game away. He choked. Period. I don't hate the kid...dont hope bad things happen to him but he choked away a win against a #6 team at home...to break a 2 year home winning streak...and if he just does his job and makes that routine 42yd kick then we are guaranteed in the playoffs. Period. He choked away a guaranteed playoff berth. If he makes that kick there is no way in hades this team loses 3 games out of our last 9 and misses the playoffs. We might not have lost even 2 more games unless you think Oklahoma will come beat us at home. He choked. Bad.

It isnt the end of the world though. We showed we can beat anybody which i didnt think we would be that good this early in the season. Feel better about going to Bama and Oklahoma at home which should be the 2 biggest tests this season. We can drop 1 of them and still make the playoffs too which I didnt think would happen this year. Didnt expect Flarda to struggle so much though. I think we got them in the swamp this year. Its great to be a Tennessee VOL. What a game. I am worn out from the adrenaline and stress

Mad love for you brother but there's never going to be anything routine about kicking a 42 yard field goal in front of 110000 people whose next reaction depend entirely on that kick.

Lol.

with the espn cameraman sticking the camera directly up the kids nose while he waits on the sideline like ita D-day

My favorite play of the game turned out to be a bad play.
Our corner back (ty?) defended the pass, broke it up, tipped it up, located it in the air, and caught it. It was phenomenal.

I was a bit perturbed yesterday but the company and weather were great
We are a pretty damn good football team. We let that one get away but there’s a lot of football left to play and I’m looking forward to every game. I’ve even got the wife back to checking Vols schedule and making sure we don’t have any conflicts she knows I’ll tell her to go do whatever and have fun.

And from the left hash.

I honestly think if they could have centered the kick it might have been good. Woulda, coulda, shoulda...

I think if we get healthy, this is a *great* football team that no one wants to play.

UGA won't want a postseason in which they play us again.

They were replaying on sec network earlier. You can probably replay it through espn if you have it.
