or as soon as tums feels AGW is affecting him personally -- i.e. probably when Obama’s Clean Power Plan goes into effect. Thanks...

So things are terrible now?

Also, you know that South Park episode was making fun ridiculous alarmists just like you? You know that, right?

Also, the manbearpig episode is on now. Great timing.

Who's digging a hole? Here is UAH's news webpage. There are no Nov. 3 press releases.

UAH - News
Dude, I’ve already linked the press release twice. Here is UAH’s Newswise page. It’s up on Anthony Watts’ page too. You even linked Roy Spencer’s blog yourself! Why deny?!

This is ridiculous. Learn how to pick your battles.
Yes, the GRACE measurements are being used as their out right? Eventually, the losses in the West will overcome the gains in the East, right? BS. Finally, a NASA scientist shows some integrity and reports the facts. We'll probably find out in the future the GRACE measurements are BS too. They were done by someone different right?
Smh. I don't know why I even try with you.

This reminds of the time you tried to discredit the hockey stick by misrepresenting the work of Michael Mann’s colleague Richard Alley…

Here's a real study:

Mann is a known fudge man. No respectable scientist would ever cite his work.
Also, thank God Dr. Alley has ethics. At least somebody from Penn State does.
“Here’s a real study” :lolabove: Remember what I said about confirmation bias? Do you realize this study cites Mann? You said no respectable scientist would ever cite his work, right? You’ve discredited your own article!

The only credible studies or scientists are the ones I quote. Everyone else is either biased or a nut job. Typical Bart the government sheep.

So the amount of pollutants don't matter? Just the number per capita? So if we can just pop out a couple billion more people and increase emissions only a little then we'll be in the clear? The world will continue to exist?
Straw man much?

‘twas a joke. They’re both good episodes.

“Bad” and “terrible” are subjective, so it depends on who you ask. Skiers could say it’s bad. Firefighters could say it’s terrible. For some it is already an existential threat. Things will get worse before they get better…

Global temperatures approach milestone amid record greenhouse gases

In (the likely) case you haven’t been paying attention, look around and see that SandVol is the only one here attacking scientists and their studies. Heck, he’s even disparaging his own sources. It’s pretty odd.

I think it may be a side-effect of the single study syndrome.

Yeah cause most of the time you're wrong. I don't have time for all this mostly. I'm really busy. I'm not in the propaganda profession. But I'll give you this one. Spencer had me confused based on this blurb on his website....

As can be seen, there was a rather large jump in the global average anomaly, but instead of it being due to the tropics being warmer (as El Nino continues), it was due to a very warm (but not record warm) month in the Northern Hemisphere extratropics.

(NOTE: Due to a typo on my part, the Sept. 2015 anomaly for the Northern Hemisphere was misreported as +0.14 C last month, when it should have been +0.34 C).

The global image for October, 2015 should be available in the next several days here.

Again, and still after all this back and forth we still have a pause in the temperature record and the Antarctic is gaining ice.

And, the hockey stick, it speaks for itself. No one believes the hockey stick anymore.

Yes, I tried to point that out. But good on you for admitting error for once! I didn’t think you had it in you.

Sorry, I wouldn’t have given you such a hard time again if you didn’t proceed to accuse me of taking quotes out of context and even fabricating quotes entirel

So what do you think of the UAH folks acknowledging a warming trend in their data?

Certainly not a respectable scientist like Richard Alley. Oh wait...

Maybe you should speak for yourself?

Science much? Answer the question. Duh.
Every day.

Of course absolute emissions matter. China just recently passed us in absolute emissions. They are still way behind in per capita emissions (though not nearly as far as, say, India). If one country has a significantly larger population than another, chances are that country will have higher absolute emissions. I really hope I don’t have to explain the point of comparing per capita rates. Just see k-town_king’s debacle in the mizzou strike thread…

Arctic sea ice was supposed to be gone by now...actually more now than in 2007

That graph doesnt count because it didnt come from me. Signed Bart.
Hmmm... I smell cherries being picked. Let's see how 2007 fits into the long-term trend.

Who's surprised? Suggesting Arctic melting stopped in 2007 is just as disingenuous as Sandy claiming global warming stopped in 1998.

K-town's debacle is right. That guy is a complete loon.

So what you're saying is that since they have so many more people (never mind many don't have electricity or cars...)they will naturally release more gross pollution. However, for each person in this country we release way more as compared to the more populated China.

INTERESTING.

Now, excuse me while I go run my diesel generator for no reason.

On cue. Your graph matters, others dont.

Their population is 4 times the size of ours. They have more cars than we do people. Today only 3 million Chinese don’t have access to electricity (compared to 300 million Indians). The number of Chinese living below the poverty line (<$1.20/day) has shrunk from around 700 million to 70 million over the past few decades, but 70 million is still like a quarter of the US population. It’s a different situation. Just sayin’

Both figures are accurate. It’s just that mine shows all the data while yours obviously cherrypicks two data points in an attempt to deceive the audience. Why not put the recent image next to one from 2006, or 2008?

Have you no shame?

Missed the point entirely.

Thanks for trying.

No, what I was saying is whomever was taking quotes out of context. Not necessarily you but some of your liberal comrades in the media. And, that wasn't written by Christy. The article supposedly quoted him. I said I'll give you that one and assume they quoted him accurately. Still awaiting his report.
So what do you think of the UAH folks acknowledging a warming trend in their data?

Acknowledging a warming trend? Geez. The weather does warm and then it cools. And, then it warms. And, then it cools. Naturally.
Maybe you should speak for yourself?

I do.

That's not what I said. That's what Dr. Richard Muller said. Mann tried to deceive the public and other scientists. Bad scientist.

acknowledging the warming since 1983. They just say it is much less than IPCC models.
