Again, the greenhouse effect was demonstrated in 1859. We know for a fact that the increase in atmospheric CO2 is due to human CO2 emissions. There are numerous independent predictions from AGW theory that have proven correct.Of course climate change is real, it's been changing since the beginning of time. Nobody is arguing that fact. Man made global warming on the other hand has not been proven.
fypWhether climate change is real? You're truly loony.
No, just government lap licking climate scientists are incompetent. And, you can throw a few EVILutionists in there too.
Fabulous gotcha post. Boy youve been crabby lately...It's okay, your glorious EPA is going straight full retard on people that try to heat their homes:
EPA
And here:
EPA's Wood-Burning Stove Ban Has Chilling Consequences For Many Rural People - Forbes
So not only are these ****wads not allowing production of older stoves that are pretty efficient, they mandate production of the unicorn style wood stoves. And furthermore, they mandate you cannot trade in or resell your old model. And not to be confused with your other ****wad environmentalists that want to ban wood burning all together:
And not to be outdone, the State level ****wad EPA groups decided the Federal EPA is too soft.
When will you and the rest of the environmentalist crowd be happy? When humans are extinct and we can't pollute the planet any longer? When a family freezes to death because their old wood stove goes out and they can't afford a new one?
You champion any idea that comes out of that idiot agency, how will you defend this?

The human fingerprint in global warming
And thats why nobody takes you seriously. You know climate scientists are not some isolated clique right? You are throwing the entire scientific community under the bus: biologists, chemists, physicists, astronomers, geologists, meteorologists, .

First off, those new EPA regulations wont apply to existing wood heaters (or fireplaces) so its not all doom and gloom for the rural folk.
Secondly, I do not champion my glorious EPA. Ive openly criticized Obamas new power plant regulations as well as existing EPA regulations. Like many democrat policies, they have good intentions but go about it all in remarkably inefficient (and sometimes entirely ineffective) ways.
So if the forecasts hold up, the lower 48 is looking at one of the coldest February ever
When you say "ever" what do you mean? The US Weather Bureau wasn't established until about 1890 so to claim that there has never been a February as cold as 2015 seems to not be entirely accurate. The coldest record temperature in February for Memphis was -11 degrees in 1951. I have no idea what the average for February was.
Plans for a new generation of nuclear reactors in the UK have been dealt a fatal blow by Austrias decision to launch a legal challenge to the EUs approval of a £17.6bn subsidy deal, according to the Green Party.
Austrias chances of success were pretty high, she said, because there were no grounds for giving such state aid under EU treaty law and Austria would question the common European interest in building a nuclear power plant in the UK.
Its puzzling why the European Commission has decided to have a set of rules for one energy source and entirely different set for another, said European Wind Energy Association spokesman Oliver Joy. If we want a level playing field for all energy forms in the EU then we need common standards that allow all technologies to compete on an equal footing.
The pseudo-scientists are running amok.
While the East is experiencing a cold winter (at the moment; Knoxville has only been moderate until now), the West is experiencing record highs. Salt Lake City has been 16 degrees above normal this year.
Here's something that will help you understand global warming a bit better:
Just because it may be cold one place does not mean it's cold everywhere. Avg. temps worldwide have been increasing, generally speaking.
But, yes, Boston has gotten a lot of snow this year.
