Official Global Warming thread (merged)

Bart,
Kind of funny coming from you. You do realize that was a scam? When I first linked it had the previous day's temperatures. None of them were above zero.
Scam? Even VNSF’s weatherbell guys were talking about it. I checked your link the same day and didn’t see any previous days’ temperatures.
You're going to be so happy if 2016 is the hottest year on record. But, even if 2016 is the hottest year on record, we're still in a pause.

Alex. First hurricane to form in January since 1938.

Additionally, it is only the second hurricane on record to form north of 30.0N east of 30W (during any time).

Funny how the worst years for hurricanes typically have not happened in the past 20 years, despite being years with the worst climate change! Mind blowing I know

The Pacific had a record season in 2015. There are more oceans than just the Atlantic… Mind blowing I know!

Global Warmists Angry Half The Earth Isn’t Covered In Ice

"Got that? It is a horrible thing that thousands of feet of glacial ice do not cover New York, Chicago, London, Stockholm, St. Petersburg, Warsaw, and Berlin today because 100,000 years from now—when the glaciation would finally end—there would be pretty new lakes and rivers left behind, along with fertile soil for whatever species may or may not exist on Earth 100,000 years from now.

Population centers with tens of millions of people would be literally destroyed—including the eradication of the entire nations of Canada, Great Britain, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Ireland, and all of the Baltic nations—and billions of people would die of starvation as a result of related crop failures and other climate disasters. This is what global warming advocates and the mainstream media want to happen because it is better for billions of people to die a painful natural death than to live in the temperate world of today as a result of human-caused global warming."

2015 was the hottest year ever so there's something going on with the earth IMO and it's probably going to get worse.

To add fuel to the fire, America is obligated to tens of trillions of dollars in debt and the only way to pay it back is to produce more, which will increase carbon emission and greenhouse gas that may lead to more global warming and climate change. All I seem to hear is no there is no global warming or yes there is. No one has an answer but they'll gladly raise your taxes to pay their salaries.

I've always had interest in this debate and haven't paid much attention to it. It's something I think we should watch very closely over the next several years and beyond as it will impact is all.

First paragraph... What do you mean by 'ever'? We'll continue on later.

It'll take a few decades to change the trend. 2016 may be hotter still. Cooler times ahead though! In a few years we'll be hearing "no global warming since 2016!"

Glad to know we solved that problem. All it took was a big party in Paris. Can we move on now?
