Official Global Warming thread (merged)

Of course, you trust anything that you think reinforces your predetermined conclusion.

Maybe if it was a hindcast instead of a forecast your link would have been relevant. What did the Norwegians say about that morning’s temperature? All sources indicate the North Pole did in fact get up around the melting point.
PSSSSSST. Somebody tell Bart the geologist that the actual North Pole is 1700 miles north of North Pole, Alaska.
At first glance I thought you were making a witty comment about the magnetic north pole. Nope. I guess you’re confusing geology with geography…

Again, none of my posts linked North Pole, AK. That was VNSF’s dumb TIME article.
Bart is using charts from Ryan Maue. A guy who he claimed was a fraud earlier in this thread. Lol.
Link?

The chart wasn’t produced by Ryan Maue, though he did tweet about it.

I have no real beef with Maue other than the fact that he works for notable climate denier Joe Bastardi. At least he's educated. Maue does try to downplay climate change sometimes and comes off as a dick. Nothing nearly as ridiculous as Bastardi, though (as far as I know)

Bart,
Kind of funny coming from you. You do realize that was a scam? When I first linked it had the previous day's temperatures. None of them were above zero.

Another update

Hottest December on record for UAH. That's following their hottest November on record, following their hottest October on record...

You're going to be so happy if 2016 is the hottest year on record. But, even if 2016 is the hottest year on record, we're still in a pause.

Alex. First hurricane to form in January since 1938.

Additionally, it is only the second hurricane on record to form north of 30.0N east of 30W (during any time).

The only difference is in 1938 they didn't freak out and blame it on climate change.

Tell me about it; I’m in New Hampshire! I guess it’s that time of year again…

Although it’s cold outside, the U.S. did just have its 2nd hottest year on record. But to answer your (first) question: most of the warming goes into the oceans.

Record-shattering December catapults U.S. to its second warmest year in 2015

Study: Man-made heat put in oceans has doubled since 1997
