From 2004-2007, Erik Ainge threw for 8,700 yrds and 72 TDs. He is 3rd in UT history in both categories. Ainge also holds the record with 7 TDs in a game, and most completions in a season. His 27 wins is 3rd in school history.

On December 1, 2001, Travis Stephens ran wild over UF. His 226 yrds came on only 19 carries. 1st and 10 from the 23, and leading by 1, Stephens took a handoff and raced 68 yards to set up Jabari Davis’ short td that allowed the Vols to extend the lead to 8 points.
UT would hang on to win 34-32 in Gainesville for the first time since 1971.

On October 3, 1998, Jamal Lewis ran 18 times for 140 yrds, including a 67 yrd TD on Tennessee’s first play from scrimmage, in the Vols 17-9 victory at Auburn. It was Lewis’ last game of the season after he suffered a knee injury in the 2nd half.

On November 26, 1994, “Little Man” Stewart became the Vols All-Time leading rusher and John Becksvoort set an NCAA record for consecutive PAT’s made (161), a school record for points (317), and PAT’s in a game (9).
Tennessee also shut out their second consecutive opponent with a 65 - 0 victory over Vanderbilt.
