I'm going to say it varies from place to place. While you are correct he rides fairly high approval ratings in places like Australia, NZ and the Philippines, in others he's as low as he can get like China and Russia (link at the end).

Here's an older poll conducted by Pew. It's not "approval" rating but rather confidence. I'd say the numbers probably haven't changed much.

I'm fully aware that anecdotal evidence means little to nothing however you completely ignored why he may have high favorables in other countries.

I didn't ignore anything, your inference that his numbers are high because they think he "is weak" is not only baseless but illogical.

The country's where he polls highest are our allies, ones that depend on the might of US military.

Our adversaries poll very low so I'm baffled by what you're asserting.

They hold beliefs too, based on their governments propaganda. The US is the preferred scapegoat for most governments failures around the world. Newspapers like The Guardian in the UK blame the migrant crisis on the US, which any logical person knows is isn't true. There are vast numbers of people in Western Europe that blame their everyday problems on the US. The President comes out for the most part largely unscathed, as Republican interventionism is usually cited as the cause of of current problems like Ukraine, Lybia, and Syria even though they really have nothing to do with it.

Though one ting I'll give Rubio last night was he didn't take the bait from O'Reilly on the Virginia elections. Bill made a statement more or less "you know Kasich kept you from winning in Virginia" to which Rubio had a great answer.

"It is what it is."

And O'Reilly made a similar statement to Kasich later about that very same State which Kasich shot down as well. And basically said the same could be said about Vermont.

I think both candidates handled it with class and didn't get sucked into bashing each other.

(cue Gramps guffaw)

Rubio is not dumb, imo he is a smart man that simply is not ready to be POTUS, 2020 he may be.
