Vandy deserves it more than Miami lol hell they’re a better team than Bama atm. Current Bama stinks
If Bama is in BYU should be in.

I understand allowing lower schools to be in, but I thought that was reserved for teams like Boise when they go undefeated. Not teams who lost to Louisville and got routed by Ole Miss.

I’m sorry, but JMU and Tulane have no business being in over teams like ND, Texas, or sigh… Vandy. Do we really think they are beating those teams?
Certainly both of them shouldn’t be in. One G5 team is guaranteed a slot and there’s no debate on that. This playoff system would not have been in place if they hadn’t agreed to give one slot. But no way two G5 teams should have gotten in. And again, they weren’t giving the SEC 6 slots so Texas and Vandy were sunk from the start unless Bama got left out.

Miami got in because somebody in the CFP was trying to save face because it’s not a good look for the ACC to not have somebody in there, especially with JMU and Tulane in there.
Vanderbilt and their thug quarterback can pound sand 👍
Vanderbilt would have beaten Miami if they had played. Saved face for Miami by not selecting them.

I understand that, but in my personal opinion, no G5 team should get a slot. They should have their own playoffs. The cfp should be for P4 teams only.

A true, honest playoff wouldn’t consist of a narrative/mind set of “all conferences are equal” by the committee. They’re not, and the SEC should probably have six teams in and ND should be in. Quality wins/record, final ranking and sos should be lead qualifiers with conference championships given less weight in the sense that a top 10 team shouldn’t take a big hit for losing to another top 10 team. More changes to be made. Letting a couple of “feel good” teams in the playoff that would get run off the field by the rest of the pack is ridiculous. That’s all it is at a basic level.

What an absolute shame. The gumps should not be there...
And it's a complete mockery to have JMU and Tulane in. I say this with the utmost shame and vitriol, but Vandy and ND should be in ahead of one of the aforementioned 3 .

None of this CFP stuff matters to me, at least not since last night. In my opinion, the best two teams in the country played each other last night and it was the best game I've seen in a long time, perhaps in over a decade. It was like watching a national title game. Two great teams on both sides of the ball (offense and defense), both physical, disciplined and grinding it out on every play. I saw very little (if at all) trash talking/showboating and very few penalties. Both teams played relatively mistake free, with the only "gaff" being OSU's missed 25 yd field goal. If either Indiana or OSU does not end up winning the national title, it might be a fluke.
