Official 2010 Football Season Prediction Thread

Exactly what I was thinking...or hoping!!

If CDD pulls off a season like this he should at least be named SEC coach of the year.
My head say's 7-4 but my heart says
9-3. Here's to hoping my heart wins this battle.

1.) We will beat Oregon.

2.) We will finish 4th in the SEC behind FL, SC, and GA

3.) Our regular season record will be 7-5, same as last year.

Our victories will be against....

UTM
Oregon
Memphis
UAB
Vandy
Kentucky
Ole Miss

Our losses will be against...

Florida
Georgia
Alabama
South Carolina
LSU

We will go to a minor bowl and win, finishing out at 8-5.

Wishful hoping... lol

4 wins, 8 losses

Tennessee Martin - W
Oregon - L
Florida - L
UAB - W
LSU - L
Georgia -L
Alabama -L
S. Carolina - L
Memphis - W
Mississippi - L
Vandy - W
Kentucky - L

I give Dooley two loosing seasons, then he's fired, and Mike Hamilton is run out of town as well. Then UT hires Phil as AD. IT looks grim.

S. Carolina - W
Memphis - W
Mississippi - W
Vandy - W
Kentucky - W

9 -3 overall and 6 -2 in SEC. Vols win tiebreakers over UF and UGA to win the East and play Arkansas in SECC Game. Vols beat the hogs to win the best Championship on the Planet, and Volunteer to play Boise State in the Sugar Bowl.

Go Vols.

I get it but I still chuckle when I see these type predictions. Absolutely no disrespect to this poster or anyone else shooting for the moon. I chuckle as much because it would be nice if DD had a surgically implanted horse shoe somewhere.

10-2 GO VOLS !!!

6-6 Win one we shouldn't and lose one we shouldn't.
6-6 is likely an accurate forcast all things considered. However this is what I hope will happen, and kinda think might happen if the players are committed, if coach Dooley is as he seems an intelligent coach, and if the assistants are what they are touted to be.

Ut Martin-W...glorified scrimmage
Oregon-W...bonified upset
Florida-L...Scared Urban to death but we lose close
UAB-W...win but a close one
LSU-W...expose Les Miles and his recruits
Georgia-W...2 in a row cause Richt hot seat chants
Alabama-L...we get hurt bad in this one
S.Carolina-L...heads down after Bama, close loss
Memphis-W...rebound on tiger high
Ole Miss-L..Masoli chews on us like McCluster
Vandy-W...we'll take the win
Kentucky-W..This aint your daddys cats..win close

8-4 peach bowl or better

IM gonna say 7-5 just like last year but we will see a more determined, focused team with better play calling. We beat Oregon and Ole Miss, lose to Georgia and SC. Go to the Peach Bowl, and break the curse.

book it presser schollie beast!

should make for an interesting season. urban has had some talented experienced teams. this year not so much.(experience) not a slight here but we'll all really get to see how good of a coach he is in 2010 with such a youthful squad. more transition in gainesville (coaching/players) than in athens.

i just think the gators are a little overrated @ #4 with all the questions.

4 seniors on the OL... 5 seniors on the 2 deep of the DL, 3 Srs in the 2 deep at LB, 2 former All americans in the secondary, 3 RBs with over 1000 yards in their careers, a 4th year Junior QB, exactly what part of Florida is young and inexperienced?

completely missed it. i'm inclined to agree with Tony Barnhardt....and I quote....

FIVE NEW COACHES WHO WILL STRUGGLE

1. Derek Dooley, Tennessee: Dooley inherited a bad situation that has gotten progressively worse with injuries and other issues. The schedule is brutal. Five wins would be a very good season.

now, one of those 5 could be a victory over GA. but with our new defense and our kicking game i'd be surprised if it came to be. i expect Richt and staff to be very prepared for this contest. even more so after last years loss. but i do understand the volnation's confidence considering the last 4 years. i think most are clinging to that "the best team doesn't always win concept" and rightly so in this case. imo, that all changes this year.

Florida has nearly '70" freshmen and sophomores. I wouldn't pencil in the gators playing for the SEC just yet.

Coaches on the hot seat; new coaches who will succeed, struggle | Mr. College Football

Florida has 52 players that have been with the team for at least 3 years (includes RS sophomores). Most of those players have SEC experience. Very few freshman will start for Florida in 2010.

As of right now, there are only about 7 or 8 freshmen who even have a shot to break the 2 deep at Florida. Maybe only 1 or 2 will start.

Tennessee Martin - W
Oregon - L (possible upset Win)
Florida - L
UAB - W
@LSU - L (possible upset b/c Dooley nearly beat Miles last year with La Tech, for crying out loud)
@Georgia -W
Alabama -L
@S. Carolina - L
@Memphis - W
Mississippi - W
@Vandy - W
Kentucky - W

*Kentucky is going to be a very tough game this year. We're down. They should've beat us last year....but 25 years of beat downs says we still win.

7-5 & Bowl in either the Independence or Music City bowl.

I'm eternally optimistic but, if I'm being honest with myself, 7 wins this year is maybe a little unreal, but we'll see.

This is truly a difficult season to prognosticate. The Oregon game will be a true barometer of what follows. Win that game and it could be indicative of an 8-4 record. Lose to Oregon, we could go 5-7.

I foresee "certain" loses to Florida and Alabama; "probable losses" to LSU and Georgia; "possible" loses to South Carolina, Ole Miss and, yes, even Kentucky.

My heart says 8-4; my brain (what's left of it) says 6-6.

Reach down deep (no matter what) and support CDD for the next two years. We can be some of the harshest fans in college football, but Dooley needs to be cut as much slack as is humanly possible. IMO.
