You're not bashing the Army, but you are bashing West Point, and I don't know why, but I find it a bit irritating.

And OBTW, they damn sure were a powerhouse more recently than Vandy.

you're a tennessee fan, i'm glad you wouldn't make fun of the vols. but saying that an sec team shouldn't lose to a service school is no knock on them.

that's pretty clear, but i disagree. sec schools recruit much higher level players than army does. they have a clear advantage and should win. vandy losing shows what level of football they're playing.

it's clear that you're an army fan because of how personally you took it when someone used them as the butt of a joke. and of course you can be irritated, but army hasn't exactly been world beaters this year, an sec team shouldn't lose to them. you did just beat d-2 (or whatever it's called now) VMI by 5 points with a late touchdown...

you're right, it didn't last the 23 years. clearly i was exaggerating. plus i dont know much about army football history, but i'm guessing they were much better in the 80's

I never understood the draw to the Citadel. Seems to me, if you want to be a REAL officer, man up & go to the Point or the Academy.
(oops, now I'll probably get some more unfriendly fire tonight!)
