Gundy probably signed the MOU (correctly done this time) and is heading to UT, The other plane is to get his family. It's going down tonight I bet.

My concern about Gundy, and someone with more knowledge please correct me, is looking at past rankings recruiting hasn't been that great. I'm no star gazer and he is winning games with lesser talent than say Texas but how will that translate to the SEC which is a completely different animal?

Jimmy Johnson and Les Miles two great recruiters didn't exactly set the world on fire there either. When you are in the shadow of the flagship school like Oklahoma hard to get much done. Ask Saban about his time at Michigan St.

OSU in't UT... It is hard to recruit to OSU. He did really well with what he had to work with.

It'll be a lot easier to recruit to Tennessee than OSU, IMO. Even the last decade of donkey UT coaches still put together decent classes.

i personally think it'll be great.. it's much easier to recruit at UT than in Stillwater. He can develop the talent, he's shown that from day 1.

If you think Mike Gundy is a better coach (third highest paid coach in America!) than Dan Mullen...Well then, I don't know what to tell you other than good luck, and we'll see.

Looks like the crowd of us who were saying just keep offering crazy money, someone will say yes knew what we were talking about all along.

And Haslam and Currie are definitely the two dumbest men in college sports.
