JG had a good game. But they gave him time in the 2nd half. He missed a couple of big opportunities. It was pretty obvious though that Pruitt stubbornly wanted to see production in the run game.Honestly, I thought they look improved over last week. They rushed for about 350 ish yards and Guarantano looked like he had more chances to throw in this game. They definitely are not perfect by any means but this was a better game from them.
And he proceeded to miss his receivers over and over. These guys have no identity and I don't think JG is a guy that really exudes confidence. The Oline may block great one play and then blow it on the next. The play calling doesn't seem any better. I'm tired of them lining up and looking to the sideline. Call a play, execute it with confidence. They were lining up Wood-Anderson and Bumphus and going heavy on one side and still weren't moving the pile much. Not hiring a veteran OC is going to look like a bad move by Pruitt. Helton did not deserve the money considering his lack of experience.Honestly, I thought they look improved over last week. He was 75% passing today 12/16. I don't think he missed over and over again. And he proceeded to miss his receivers over and over.
